OMEGA Seamaster Professional 2531 for Sale

I will be putting my Omega Seamaster Professional up on ebay in about a week but thought I'd post here first to see if anyone in the family is interested. I wore this watch from 1996 to roughly 2000. It didn't get much wrist time after I bought a Speedmaster and subsequently the Planet Ocean. It's been in it's box for about 15 years. It is currently non operable and needs servicing and my asking price reflects that. I will be asking $800 as an overhaul at an Omega Service Center will probably run around $500. However, if someone has a local watch service shop, it would be much cheaper...probably about $150 to get operational. If anyone is interested in a Brosnan era Omega, here's a chance to get one relatively inexpensively. I have been the sole owner of the watch and it comes with the original box and warranty / service cards. The watch was purchased by an authorized Omega dealer in NYC (Tourneau). PM me if interested and I can shoot some photos your way and answer any questions. Thanks!

Just a quick update for everyone who has shown interest via PM. I will be getting back to you each this evening with photographs via email. I believe half of the interested parties reside in the UK so I went to my local post office this afternoon to get an estimated shipping cost. From where I live in the US to the UK costs about 65 USD (41 GBP). The only caveat is that the US Post Office told me the UK does not allow them to insure items coming to the UK...so I will likely need to look into another shipping option. If those who live in the UK have suggestions on how to ship there with full coverage, please let me know. More later. Thanks!

FYI, as I have recently shipped a few high-value items from the US to the UK via USPS - you can insure items up to $650 USD when using the Express Mail International option. Shipping time is optimal as well, at 3-5 business days. May not help you with this specific transaction, but food for thought as the USPS agent may have not told you all of the options available.

    Hope that helps.

    Kind regards,
    Craig
