Should the Bond actors club remain exclusive?

I did think about what if they hired a new Bond actor every film, or every other film. It would make the club less exclusive, but it would add new interpretations and new possibilities.

Lazenby for example only had one movie, but OHMSS spoke volumes.

IMO, no. I think most actors need some time (more than one film) to get comfortable in the role. IMO, OHMSS spoke volumes but the less spoken by Lazenby the better. In fairness though, I believe that George, had he stuck around, gotten some good acting lessons, a more "actors oriented" director and a good dose of very much needed humility and professionalism, he could have grown into the role. I think a Terence Young could have brought a lot more out of George. As we know, there was a good bit of Terence Young DNA in the cinematic Bond. Too bad that Timothy Dalton wasn't 6 to 10 years older in '68.....what an even more incredible film OHMSS would have been with a 30-34 yr old Dalton as Bond.

It would be a complete Headache for EON to find a new Actor for each new Film. Lazenby is a different Case because he was expected to do more Films.
