    I think Kingsman was more aimed at those in my Age Demographic (early to mid 20's)

    It's basically a take on videogames and music videos I've seen, right down to a rock song playing in the background, with very similar levels of violence. It's pornographic -- fantasy in the same way but about violence rather than sex. Let's be honest. People aren't getting off on the plot or story but on the spectacle of watching so many people killed in gruesome ways. This isn't the first time, certainly. The highly overrated Boondock Saints certainly helped popularize the trend. To me, it's juvenile and a turn off, but I'm not the audience they're after. Pity.

    I kind of agree with you...haven't seen Boondock Saints - and have no desire too...

    I think if it's done stylishly then it works...we could argue whether this time it's plot driven or just 'pornographic violence' for the sake of it...probably a bit of both - to me it looks cool - and sounds cool as its a great rock track that's played as well...

    Undoubtably there are films you like that I think are pants...but that's life...I do like to read other people's opinions though...it's all grist to the mill -{
