Skyfall Crockett & Jones collection complete!

Big week for me! I bought a pair of Crockett & Jones Alex thus completing my Skyfall collection! I never thought that when Skyfall came out nearly three years ago I'd own all the shoes :))

But I've learnt with shoes like other items...buy cheap buy twice. So it's been nice to start buying proper leather shoes.

And I can't say enough about the customer service from the Jermyn St store. Always willing to have a chat about the history of the brand and their Northampton factory.

Thanks for letting me share! Here are some pics.

They're like children I love them all the same!

I use the Islays the most. But the Alex are my new favs as I've never had wholecuts before. So really loving that style at the moment.

Are they comfortable? Soft enough? Average price? :)

Ouch, you're asking me to bring up repressed memories when you ask about the price! Just under £400 for most. Then add on another £90 for each pair of shoe trees that match the last of the Tetbury, Highbury and Alex. No wonder I had to spread out the purchases over a few years...

I've found them comfortable but still needing a break in period, no different to other brands. Maybe these broke in quicker....just note the 348 last is narrow on the toes.

The leather is really nice and this is where I easily see the difference. Had a pair of Barkers previously and when I compared them side by side with the Highbury, the leather is definitely softer on the C&J.

    Nice collection kadd.

Always good to have some top quality shoes to wear in rotation. I echo your comments about the C&J Jermyn St Shops - very professional and also very friendly.

Time to start saving for the Spectre shoes! ;)

Jermyn St are the best. I have was having a shoelace crisis last week with my Molton boots. I popped in and they took them away and replaced them FOC.

    Saved the day. :))
