    just to mention it: in DAD when Bond is picking up the small case from mr.chang you see a passport in it to. he certainly was using a false identity there,too to get to cuba but we never got a name.

    I think this shows the producers love for detail.they created a fully passport but you only see the front cover for a blink of an eye!

    I went through the scene and couldn't see or hear Alex Smith mentioned. To me anything not in the film is not canon :) Just like Barbara Mawdsley isn't M's name in the film series.
