Any of you watch the films for specific things?

I used to have a crap attention span, with all of the smartphones video games, social media, instant gratification, etc. of my generation. But in my second viewing of the Bond films, I've been getting a lot out of them which I haven't before. Because I put my electronics down and just watched the movie.
I'm liking Connery a lot more that I'm more able to distinguish his subtle facial expressions (DAF is still untenable though, haha). I also realized how well they dress Bond (especially how gentlemanly Moore is dressed in Live and Let Die). Watching a James Bond film is like getting fashion advice from the crem de la crem professionals for just about free.
In my third runthrough of the series, I'll take note of facial expressions, what Bond wears in each scene and also, the soundtrack. I've been guilty of just skirting over the soundtrack and treating it as ambient noise but I do want to pay more attention to which songs I like and why.
Do any of you do specific runs of the series just to check for specific things?

Thanks for reading it. I'm glad it inspired you to take note of the clothes, especially how nice some of Roger Moore's clothes can be. People notice the bad stuff and dismiss all of it.

Connery in DAF?
Congratulations AC and keep up the great work! -{
LMAO , Yes.
I've also paid more attention to the gunbarrel sequences. They're all really cool.

Congratulations! Whenever Bond was heavier than he should have been (parts of YOLT, DAF and DAD), his clothes didn't quite accommodate his extra weight. Especially not in DAD, where you can really his pinstripe suit pulling at the waist.
I would say...
Connery is well rounded with some muscle.
Lazenby is big and hunky
Moore is average but in good shape
Dalton is kinda lanky, but a bit full too
Brosnan is skinny-ish.
Craig is petit, but has hard rock muscles.
Did I get them right?

I'd agree with most of that except DC, given that he is only 5'10" and 185lbs that's a pretty solid guy. If you met someone that sub 10% body fat and with those attributes in person they would probably stand out as pretty built. Granted, he's smaller than he was in CR, but still a pretty big guy for how lean he gets.

Speaking of which, which were the body fat percentages of all the actors? I would say Connery went from a muscular 10% to probably 20% around DAF, Lazenby possibly under 10%, Moore close to 20% body fat, not muscular at all, Dalton, in the 12-15% range,Brosnan from a skinny 10% in GE to 15% in DAD and Craig less than 10% for sure in CR at least. None were in the body building 6% range .Impossible with all those martinis anyway ;-)
<10% = competitive athlete
10% = athletic
15% = relatively fit (American military's cutoff line)
20% = average
25% = chubby
30% = fat
Of course, these would be by modern standards. Someone who we, today, would say is average and perfectly fine is probably like 10-15 lbs overweight by pre-1980's standards.
Connery was probably higher than 10% but lower than 15% mostly. He was probably over 20% in DAF (and i'm not just saying that lol).
Lazenby had some fat on him and was probably near 15% rather than 10. But he's big and has lots of muscle so his fat was less noticeable.
Moore was probably closer to 15% than 20%, except in, perhaps, Octopussy.
Agree on Dalton.
Brosnan was probably ranged through 12% and 17%. The fact that he had little muscle created a "Skinny Guy with Belly" syndrome in DAD.
And Craig, I'd largely agree with. 10-12% all around.

also a tank enthusiast, so i take great delight in the Goldeneye tank chase.
those are just a couple off the top of my head, but i'm sure there's more.
1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK
I would say Connery is 10% or a bit lower in DN. His face is totally lean and his waist line is at his lowest. In FRWL GF TB he's in the 10-15% range, you can really see he's starting to enjoy the good life. YOLT over 15% and DAF, 20% or even higher, yep.
Moore had a weird body. His face appeared lean, and he had very long legs, which gave the illusion of a slender body, but the minute he took his shirt of, you could see fat all over the place. So anywhere from 15% to 20% is probably right.
connery used to be an athlete in school and as he became an actor, he moreso settled into average.
and even in DAF, Connery was in better shape than most men are in today at age 37.

With a topic like "any of you watch the films for specific things?" no, some of us sometimes obviously watch the films to check out the actors' body fat percentages.
