like I promised earlier this week, I now will start this thread. :007)
Every week on saturday or sunday I will show+tell one of my Bond collectibles.They vary between props,memorabilia and merchandise.In fact I got all sorts of stuff.
of course you guys can join me if you like to.
one last thing: even if you consider a collectible rubbish or anything please keep negative comments to yourself because what is rubbish to you may be the holy grail to others. -{

I got this one in 2009 of ebay.to this day I've only seen one other so I think they are pretty rare.
the were layed out in the video stores when the movie came out in 2007.
dimensions: 200cm x 140cm
(not-so)-fun fact: last year my dog took a dump on it.I totally freaked out, but it all came off eventually without any stains )

(P.s. maybe someone can explain it to me via pm how I directly upload a pic within a thread via iphone.I'm just too silly )
Collectable 2: "The World Is Not Enough" sunglasses.
these CK 2007 shades are worn by Pierce Brosnan in the ski chase sequence in TWINE.
they were a rare find i made in 2009 and a lot of my pocket money went for that
I bought them from a really nice bloke from Italy who was hosting Bond exhibitions and even sold the illuminating Omega at the same time.
at first I only got the glasses but later decided to buy the standee aswell since they are meant to be together
Nowadays they are REALLY rare to find, have only seen them in ebay once or twice since (but frame in wrong colour and not the TWINE box!
fun fact: the ones in the first picture of them on jamesbondlifestyle.com are actually mine
And I must say, I like this idea of sharing pictures of collections. It is inspiring and gives others ideas.
Nice work!
I do hope there are some people out there who appreciate this thread ?:)
but of course everyone is invited to share one of their items on this thread on a weekly basis, too :007)
since it's sunday, it's time for another round of "sow and tell"
up for today is...
Collectable 3: DAD "Aristoc" sheer tights
released in octobre/novembre 2002 at Harrods, only costimg 10Pounds each! a real bargain
there originally were 4 different sets to get but nowadays it is hard to get hold on even one since they are pretty rare.
I got mine 2 years ago off ebay, but am desperate to find the orher 3 sets ever since.
as you can see on the box, Aristoc was tied in to the production by providing the legwear for Graves' waitresses! a really cool item of merchandise here
P.S.: everybody is welcome to share his collection on here, too.
AND I'll be posting 2 times a week (wed/sun) to get it going
Is this the thread where you bring home the bacon ? ;%
Sorry...I'll get me coat
Interesting items though....you ever modelled them ?
what do you mean by 'modelled them' ?
Made them into planes or dioramas.... ) ...I meant wear them )
no sorry, I'm not into that sort of thing ) {[]
Albeit there is also a car attached to it!!
Collectable 4: "Tasco-opera glasses"- The Living Daylights
here you can see the opera glasses disguised as a cigarette case.
Tim Dalton's Bond used them to spy on Koskov during the opera scene in Bratislava.
I got them a few years ago from of course ebay
when I fist saw them with the box I was quite stunned and git them right away, but turned out the box was selfmade
well, still it's a cool item and wasn't that expensive.
I think it's self-explaining, seenit on ebay once and got it for a really cheap price
and in case someone wonders how the centerfold lookslike that Bond even takes with him, here it is -{
Once again, another great piece in a fine collection. {[]
I am very envious. -{
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Then you have a long way to go, TP.
Both as a Bond memorabilia collector and as a collector of men literature
One of the first things that I've researched in the internet was that magazine.
OHMSS was shot in 1968-1969, so I've searched on ebay.com and ebay.co.uk for "Playboy 1968" and "Playboy 1969" and then checked the covers
Some of the most enjoyable 5 minutes in my life
Another thing that you learn during the process is the importance of the centerfold still being at place. For some reason these have often disappeared and magazines 'without' reach much lower prices
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
but the shocking thing is that on the back of the centerfold above, there are pics of miss february playing with her small child
Stephen King stories, which he had to cut out to sent to his Mother
( to prove he was getting printed, but didn't want her to know where ) )
this edition is out of a run published by "Mirror" in 1997.
it has somewhat of 10 pages that basically cantain infos on the film (e.g.: singer,plot, gadgets, etc.)
it was cheap but looks cool.
peace out -{
Collectable 007: Banner/Poster-staircase
just a few words: all banners are REALLY big.but you get an impression AND they all were bargains, too! ) -{
..... But I'm not allowed to )
