This is the place where we usually post the funny stuff.
I am deeply saddened by seeing this - the boy has ADHD and did not follow his teacher's orders.

I was thinking more along the lines of giving him a bit of a slap !
in place, before calling in the Police.
Schools should have an ED209 in the hallways to deal with this.
Big, fat & stupid is no way be a proper police officer. Sadly, my country runs the world franchise on big, fat & stupid.

At how in recent stories, The average American Police officer goes first
for their gun ! Instead of it being the last course of action, for many it seems
to be the first.
Also from recent stories, it had have been a black kid, The cop would have shot him.
Just to keep it real, you are seeing EVERY bad American officer's actions on Youtube now... the serious a-holes are still a relatively small percentage.
Well, relatively here...
And remember, the limp richards at the top set the tone for what's acceptable.

accurate portrayal.
Okay, and on a serious note I'd fire that cop's a*s in a New York second for that.

Everyone that they are stopping may draw a gun with the blink of an eye and shoot them.
It's a horrible situation and I certainly would not want to do that job - particularly keeping in mind that the use of drugs seem to be common and so people's actions with the relation of firearms is even more unpredictable.
I understand that they want to return home in one piece after their shifts and because of that they must make sure that they "shoot first" before they are getting shot.
So the entire dilemma boils down to the root of the problem:
The widespread of gun ownership in the US!
Here in Europe where firearm possession is strictly restricted limited - if a cop stops you - he may also be careful not getting shot by an illegal gun. But the risk that this happens is much lower than over the pond and so are his actions.
The use of his gun will be his last option and not the only one and that's a big difference compared to a US cop.
But there is no reason to handcuff an 8-year old - particularly remove him from school unless he's a real threat for the teachers and the other kids.
And if he behaves violently, why not putting him into a separate room - or leave him in the police car until the parents arrive.
I don't want to imagine what would have happened if the boy had panicked and injured himself.

The most frightening job I can imagine, is ( if I have the term right) a state trooper
The lone cop patrolling the highways in his car, with no backup, having to deal with
God knows what at night, and never knowing what "Nut job" is in the car you've just
Pulled over.
Weren't you stopped once Higgins. ? ) ( proves my point I think ) )
Although I do agree with Chrisisall, that these clips are only showing the rather
Stupid Police officers. Who I think should have been " weeded out" during training.
.... Bit of Waterboarding, would have sorted that out. My old Nanny
Would have done it.
I've been stopped twice by cops when I was in the US.
One officer was respectful and professional all the way - the other one - not so much
If you say please and buy me a lunch I'll tell you what happened

Not sure how many people heard about this. In my neck of the woods, this just happened a couple of weeks ago.
