Today escalated quickly. Thanks to everyone for their feedback. Extremely happy with it! The store also ordered the older rubber strap for me for £150 buckle comes free of charge so I guess that's why it's a bit pricey.
Enjoy. If you got a deployment clasp for free that is a great score as they typically go for $300, which is in addition to the strap itself
Sorry should've clarified. It's the old strap with pin/tang buckle. Not deployment clasp. I tried haggling a price but whilst they were in contact with omega they said that they couldn't get any less of a price for the deployment buckle. Given that I'm going to wait a while.

Great choice! I still love mine just as much as the day I bought it. You won't be able to keep your eyes off it!
A little off topic but when did the PO change from the 2006 CR style to the higher version? Was it Skyfall time? CR and QOS were the same aprt from the bezel right?
CR and QoS used the 2500 series PO (smaller 42mm version in QoS)
Skyfall used the newer series
CR used the rubber diver strap with tang buckle. QoS used stainless steel bracelet. I also think I'm right in saying that the one DC wore in skyfall was the 8500 planet ocean but made out of titanium specifically for him to reduce weight in filming? If I'm wrong please correct me.
FYI, Over on another forum I have discovered that the 2500 diver strap can be fitted to the 8500 watch. So I'm going to give it a go. Will post pics when the straps been delivered and fitted.

I believe he wore a 45.5 Seamster on the rubber strap in CR, as well as the smaller 300m one with the blue face. In QoS he uses the 42mm Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M 2500D on the SS bracelet and then in Skyfall, you are correct in that it was a Seamaster 600m in titanium as well as the the Aqua Terra

Correct
PO 2500 Black 45mm on black OEM for CR (but it was quoted as being to bulky for fight scenes and I believe there were versions with empty guts and fixed hands) plus updated SMP prototype Co Axial worn in the Casino scenes
PO 2500 Black 42mm on SS thought the film
PO 8500 Black 42mm on Ti (not SS as many has assumed) plus Blue AT 8500 38mm on SS
See below from the Christies 50th and other auction catalogues- only thing was all those with Black 8500's for SA have steel ones because it's cheaper to mass produce! (oops)
Still I have the Blue PO Ti I may swap it over one day :-)
Cheers :007)

So it appears that I've scratched my 'scratch resistant' sapphire crystal case. On a door frame earlier. I've emailed omega and I'm awaiting a response. Has anyone done this before? What was the outcome? I appreciate if I fell off a building and it scratched that they wouldn't do anything. But advertising and selling as scratch resistant then a scuff to a doorframe scratches it is a bit poor.
I can only speculate - maybe the antireflective coating is scratched?
A sapphire crystal can get scratched - by another sapphire or diamond usually. a doorframe would leave a different damage - if at all it's getting chipped. Metal should not be able to scratch sapphire.

Higgins. Please excuse the poor images. And forgive me for not using your approved method of uploading. The first image. Shows the scratch that runs between 8 and 9. The second the scratches are around the edge between 4 and 6. As you can see the ceramic besel is fine.
Looks like you've scratched the AR coating - no biggie!
But that's the reason why Rolex does not AR coat their crystals {[]

Polish the whole AR coating off with Polywatch. I can't stand AR coating on the outside of watches as it's so easy to scratch. No idea why Brietling and Omega still do this and put it in their sales patter as an advantage. The disadvantage of getting scratches all over your watch far outweighs the advantage of a little extra clarity.
Omega won't do anything. It's scratch resistant, not scratch proof. You'll have to live with it or send it to Omega who will charge you for a new crystal or you can polish off the AR. The latter is the best option IMHO.
Is there any down side to polishing off the AR? for example the crystal is then vulnerable to scratches. Or is it best to just leave the AR on and scratch that? I don't really want to pay for a whole new crystal if I don't need to?

Can you buy online?
I'm (pretty) sure I've got an unused Planet Ocean 2500 Rubber Strap put away safe somewhere....
Will see if I can find it....
If he can't find it. You can check ofrei.com or watchuseek.com
