For the people who have bought the R.M. belt and sized up to get the DC look with some hanging down, how many sizes did you go up?

(and yes it did feel quite strange zooming in on this image like that)

If I remember rightly you need to go up 3 sizes of your jeans

E.g if your 30W grab a 36W belt for DC style length

    Maybe others can chine in

i did the econo-version of the belt. the Badgery Belts Queenslander Kangaroo Plaited Leather Belt, as suggested by www.IconicAlternatives.com

i wear a 32" waist, and went with the 42" first. which was waaaaaay too long. this morning, i received the 38" that i ordered and i think it's spot on for what we're all going for. i imagine it's the same for the RM Williams.

subsequently, i'll be selling a 42" Badgery Belts Queenslander Kangaroo Plaited Leather Belt on here shortly!

Personally, I think the hanging belt looks sloppy.

Besides, some of us don't feel the need to overcompensate. :D :p :))

I originally bought a 40" belt (I'm typically a 34" waist; sometimes a 36") but found it ridiculously long. I returned it for a 38" and - for me at least - am happy with the excess length and the desired DC look.

Just my two bobs worth (I bought it in black too)

There's an RM Williams store (small one) in London near Selfridges. Maybe they can do a phone order and post it to you?

Hi all.... I'm 31" waist and bought a 36" (after advice from Welshboy and the Mantis - thanks) - Really happy with the way it hangs and also they do stretch a little.

Chris - There is an RM williams on Bond Street

Quick note on RM Williams. They were bought by Loius Vitton a few months back and all their prices went up. Boots are now £350 up from £295 that they were around xmas time. Might be worth looking for a belt from a third party seller as some of them still sell the boots at the lower price (must be paid for, old stock) and might do the belt.

The people in the shop on New Bond Street in london are very helpful should you need to contact them.

Yep. LV and Hugh Jackman! The sales assistant in the shop told me that they were still going to be made the same way in Oz but would start to be availible in more colours (blue suede was one) and they were doing a lot of investment to push the brand and re-do the shop.
