Bond and your politics ?

I was wondering if, like Me from reading Bond as a kid to adulthood
If you think it has influenced your political beliefs ?
Have you become more like Bond, I'm guessing Conservative in your
world view or if you were a bit more liberal or labour and still are , or
even if you like Bond but your politics are 180% from his.
For myself, I'd think of myself as Conservative but with a small C, as
I do think some of the more right wing policies as very divisive to society.
Now I think I always had these thoughts, the books only helped to
Reinforce them. As many of Bond's qualities I, either had ( or like to think
I had) or wanted to.
Self reliance, independence, not wanting help, and not being able to keep
My mouth shut, if I think someone is being unfairly treated. Hence why I ended
up working for myself. Although I do think society has an obligation to look after
The less well off.
I migh be a bit out of step with Bond on defence ( maybe not) but spending
Billions on trident, seems foolish to me when the threat we face is terrorist
Based. So I think the money should be spent on soldiers and equipment, better
Intelligence and surveillance.
So any thoughts; are you totally different to Bond's politics, or would you vote
for him in an election.

What I'm trying to figure out is, how much of that was already in me. Or
Have the books in any way influenced my thoughts on it.
As I'm very liberal on social issues, but very right wing on law and order
Issues.

.. Can't even organise an election to pick its leader.
