bmw z3

Been thinking about purchasing a Z3. Probably wait until Spring for financial and practical purposes. Has anybody had one? Anything I should know? Anything to look for?

    Not specific to the Z3 but if you can stretch to it you will get a much better deal if you buy it in winter, even if you then keep it SORNed until spring.

    I've had one the last 11 years as a daily driver. It's been a great car. Mechanically the car is sound, however cosmetically I've started to have a number of problems and am thinking of getting a new car. Mine is a 1999., I guess that's to be expected it a car that old.

    I had one for 3-4 years or so, loved it. Bit of a pain opening and closing the roof but that's only a minor gripe. The only thing you need to be careful of is that the roofs are prone to going a bit green and mildewy - however you can treat them easily enough but you need to do it quite regularly. -{

    Enjoy it and just remember, you don't have a licence to break the traffic laws. :007)

    Good tip from our friend ,the best time to buy a rag top is when its freezing cold ,no one wants them ,when its hot people are more willing to take a punt on a rag top,We bought our daughter a cooper convertible a few years back in the winter

    I understand the winter thing. Just don't think I'll have the cash this winter. Too impatient to wait until next winter. Although I might not have cash in spring either. I pay my current car off next December so that might actually be the time.

    Dubl-Oh, I'd appreciate that.

    Anything in those buying guides about talking the gf into it?
