Turnbull & Asser CR Shirt Fit

I was going to post onto an old thread, but thought I'd start something afresh, as there wasn't really a totally appropriate place for it.

So, as I'm considering dropping £250 on the Asser & Turnbull CR evening shirt, I'd just like a little info from those that already own such a shirt on the way it fits. I'm a size 16.5" to 17" collar and have pretty long arms - the shirt's I've found that fit me best are Charles Tyrwhitt slim fit shirts, which are 37" sleeve length and have a nice long body.

I'd assume A&T were longish in the arms, but as Daniel Craig isn't the longest in the arm department, I've got a nagging doubt that the sleeves won't poke out from my jacket sleeves.

Any fitting experiences out there?

I bought mine a couple of years ago (15.5 neck) and they altered the sleeve length and nipped in the torso free of charge.

:)) I misread your post MrEddy21, the first time ..
" nipped in the torso free of charge."
I thought that said nippled, so thought you may have been

If you're going to drop £250 on a shirt, make sure you have the right brand first!

Spending that sort of money on a shirt should be an experience. I HIGHLY recommend going along to Jermyn Street in London and experience the service for yourself! They will ensure you have the shirt correctly fitted for you although they do charge for adjustments. Only then will you feel that you have had a shirt made just for you! They can also send the finished shirt to you if dropping back into London isn't easy. :007)

    And... Ummm... It's Turnbull & Asser ;)

Thanks for the replies and yes, I know it's T&A, was typing and doing 3 other things at the same time last night, hence the inversion. ;%

Getting to Jermyn Street isn't an option (I wouldn't actually want to go into London either), so I'll check out Selfridges and maybe even Harvey Nichols here in Manchester - I wasn't aware that they had distributors outside their own shops.

And speaking of inversion, I actually think Asser & Turnbull rolls off the tongue easier, so maybe they should think of a rebrand :p
