This is South Hetton in County Durham. It was the location of the One Armed Bandit Murder in 1967.

This is a good idea in theory. Unfortunately I can't participate, because posting beautiful pictures of a city has been known to attract tourists. And as a real Berliner, I'm supposed to hate them. Around here, our self-styled cosmopolitanism and open-mindedness does not extend to people who spend money in "our" city. It sounds counter-intuitive, but a debt mountain of 62 billion was no mere accident. :))

Me and Mrs UB attended the Military tattoo on 15th August 2015, it was fantastic. Funny enough though it was the Chinese military band playing Abide with me that brought a tear to my glass eye.

Edinburgh is a lovely City and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay there, especially the drinking establishments on Rose Street.
