I would imagine a black Camberley alternative will be available soon given this recent MTO offering:

And this is a good Islay alternative:

Great find , this is what AJB is all about (we have eyes and ears every where) :)) Does any one know if they sell these in London .
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I don't own anything from Meermin, but have heard only good things (good value for money). I think they only sell online and somewhere in Spain (being based in Mallorca).

I have a pair of dress chukka boots from them, and am really impressed.

I took them to my local cobbler to have sole protectors put on (they have leather soles) and I was slipping everywhere. My shoe guy thought they were amazing quality.

I would suggest ordering one size up.

I found out about them on style forum and they get rave reviews on quality. I think people discovered them through their double monk shoes.

To my knowledge they don't have a brick and mortar store.

It's true that in Spain is very difficult to get a decent pair of shoes, but Meermin is an exception. This brand was born some years ago (2002) from its big broter "Carmina Abadalejo". Carmina is a Spainsh firm which makes excelent shoes with an impressive quality. Meermin shoes are designed in Spain and made in China. It is said that its lowest prices are based in this distribution sistem without intermediaries.
I have bought Meerming, C&J, Loake, Alden and Barker shoes. My impression is that they are excelent shoes but not very close to the quality of C&J, Alden or its big brother Carmina. The quality are similar to "Loake".
If you want to buy an excelent pair of shoes, Meermin are not your brand, but if you want a decent pair of shoes, Meermin is an excelent alternative to C&J.
I bought one 2 years ago and I'll probably buy other the next years.

How would you describe Loake's quality and how is it inferior to C&J?
