The Bond Coincidences - what have you experienced

The James Bond Coincidence all true.....

Having had an interesting week related as it was to James Bond, i.e buying the Tom Ford Snowdons and then Omega SM300 SPECTRE LE in duty free purely by chance. That was a result (made more weird because I even had my SPECTRE turtle neck with me without even planning it). But it did not stop there, because then I picked up (in a foreign country in arrivals of all places) a copy of Esquire Magazine. This had DC's interview in it about filming SPECTRE and of course an Omega ad for the SM300 LE I had only just purchased less than hours before. I thought I was done, but no to top it off within 24 hours I got confirmation my Solden (OK Super Natural) jacket is en route (which with the site down over the last few weeks I thought I had no chance and was awaiting a refund). Well it don't get much better what a truly amazing week. Oh and lastly the glasses in my hotel for breakfast were those from the Enjoying Death bar scene again how mad was that (brought a couple of spares home with me as you do). But it occurred to me that none of this was planned you just couldn't and it was entirely down to coincidence, lady luck and right time/ place (Though I will be buying a Lottery ticket this week!)

The reason I say this is because is it sheer coincidence or not?

I had a similar experience 2 years ago on a long haul business trip. By chance I encountered the Tom Ford 144's in duty free not on show I asked out of pure curiosity at the time and got the only pair in stock the previous having left the shelf 10mins before (while carrying my 108's of course). I thought that was a good result. On the flight as I went to thumb the inflight magazine it was a Bond Skyfall special edition how cool. Coincidence but maybe not it was a few months after the film release. So it's a long flight time to kick back and watch a couple of films to kill some time. OMG Skyfall is one of the inflight movies what a bonus. Hold on further analysis showed there is a Bond movie from each Bond era which end to end (throw in some breaks for meals) covers my entire flight (and most of the return journey as well) what a trip. Needless to say I was fully immersed in the Bond Experience there and back. Finally to top it off I was heading for Hong Kong a Bond favourite haunt to meet? Yes you guessed it a gentleman from our South America office called Thiago Rodrigues (you may recognise that name - SF Mr Silva) you just could not make that up!

So these experiences got me wondering has anyone else experienced any strange Bond coincidences if so do share.

Cheers :007)

    Oddly enough my entire existence has similar Bond moments in it;

I usually wake up looking like bond in the SF 'where the hell have you been?' scene.

I often experience the "I'm sorry sir, this card doesn't work" scene in QoS.

When checking in at hotels I normally get greeted with "do you have a credit card sir? or even any luggage?" just like Bond did in HK in DAD.

I also encounter car 'issues' like Bond did in FYEO.

When eating out I end up being just like Bond and throw up in the bogs like Bond did in CR after seeing the bill (or eating something with nuts in)

At the moment I'm shooting as straight as Bond in the 'new digs' scenes in SF.

I try to be romantic and give the mrs little gifts now and then, but like the cigar, they usually suffer the same fate just like in TWINE.

I'm usually admired and fancied by the opposite sex who often resemble bond girls.... like Rosa Klebb and Rosika Miklos :#

Due to my 'eventful' lifestyle it often feels like I'm suffering the same as Milton Krest on a daily basis.

My gaff looks just like Skyfall lodge... after the helicopter paid a visit.

My driving skills match those of Bond's in TND

I'm often told I've 'lost my charm'.

I wear an omega, but just like 006 it's the old model.

I fit Georgi Koskov's description of Stalin AND Willard Whyte's security guard's description of the moon buggy.

I sleep with a gun under my pillow..... spud gun, king edward calibre.

I often feel like I've suffered the same fate as Fred in GE.

So yeah, when I think about it, my life has losds of similarities to Bond films!

    Here's a weird coincidence.....
Back when Steve, Gary Giblin and I went to the UK to meet with Michael Wilson and examine the Bond props we stepped out of the airport to get a cab and what did I see on the ground.....A James Bond trading card!!!

Standing outside our local watch shop with 2 fellow bond collectors, not to mention the shop owner who is also a bond collector. We were looking at the James Bond Casino Royale Omega Seamaster for sale in the window and discussed it for a good 15 mins. Then my 10 year old pipes up, dad, who is 0007. Dont be stupid I said, its 007. No dad, the ticket says 0007 limited edition. I send him in the shop to tell the owner he has written the ticket wrong. He come back out and says dad, the shop owner says I dont know what I am talking about. I send him back in to ask the show owner who 0007 is. The shop owner rips up the ticket and laughs. It just goes to show, we are often all stupid and 10 year olds know best.
