Subtle humour is great, like the look on Craig's face when he sees
the wall is heading in his direction. ) Doesn't have to be slap stick
or even a one liner. All Roger needed was to raise an eyebrow at the
right time.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
One of the reason I love CR-06 so much, is because it has a cheeky knowing humour in places. Just the right amount to balance the violence and destruction, with the ability to make you genuinely smile. QoS was virtually humourless. A couple of fast one liners seemingly per scene, and Skyfall is doom and gloom in its over plotted theatrics. It tries to be clever with its lighter moments, but they feel forced as a result.
I would not want Bond to emulate Kingsman, and Moonraker and Octo are proof that bad humour is as bad as none. Its all about the right balance.
I also think Casino Royale had the right balance. I don't mind the humour. I just don't want it to be slapstick.

I personally thought Craig was perfect in the Macau casino scene in SF - the look on his face while being held upside down and seeing the Komodo dragon is priceless. And his 'circle of life' line was classic Bond, IMO.

I think he's been spot on, on all outings. He's openly admitted he doesn't do 'comedy' but there are quite a few one liners, or looks and actions that he's done that are clever - if not subtle, which is refreshing from Brosnan and Moore.

I have seen other Movies that Craig was in and Yes he is a Good Actor but he has the Best Media Coverage and Publicity that any actor could get In the Bond Movies and that statement that he made was I believe may have been a statement that he made in anger after being harassed by the Press and I don't blame him , because he gives his all in the part of James Bond and even does some of his own Stunts which also could be something that he has issues with because they know he like to do them and they are asking the impossible of him. I believe he should be given more for that and a lot of rest time in between. B-)
In the interview with Jonathon Ross he more or less confirmed through body language that he'll do one more deffo and more than likely 2.
Ross actually said he'd been told he was going to do two, Craig just laughed.
I'd love them to shoot films back to back and then release them a year apart like the Lord Of The Rings films, or The Hobbit trilogy and now the Avatar movies.
They did it with the last Harry Potter film otherwise the main characters would have aged notably.
But if it's 6 six years then I suppose we'll have to just bite the bullet and wait.

I think releasing Bond films only a year apart would be too close. I don't think the public can handle that much Bond and the second film would suffer at the box office. It's not the right audience or the right time.

Thunderbird too.
The Bond films became more formulaic during the Sir Roger years. A little bit more time in between them gives more prep and production time to get things right. In fact CR-06 and SF both demonstrate that in their own ways. Even if SFs script was iffy!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

From the perspective of making the film, I don't think they need more time. It's the audience than needs more than a year between films. I think 2 years is enough. When there's more than three, people stop expecting another Bond film. Two years after Skyfall, people were asking me what I was going to do with my blog now that James Bond films were done!

Well as DC has done 2 films with Sam Mendes, is he gonna want Mendes for a 3rd film, or can he work with a different Director?
He's listed as Co-Producer , so does this mean he is heavily commited to future films or will his knee injury put him off?
If they take 3 years to make a film the next one will arrive 2018 and DC will be 50 yrs old. Any further films will be 2021 and age 53.
So I think he'll do one more film and resign.
After DC I hope they get a black haired Sean Connery/Richard Johnson -type (in their heyday) look like the book character.

LOL yeah. It feels like Jonathan Ross threw in that "Some people say 2" just to try and get something extra out of him because, I don't know about you guys, but Jonathan Ross saying he's heard 2 somewhere was the first I'd heard of that rumor.
Nice to hear Daniel address this in his interview on Front Row tonight....basically, don't quote me after I've just done a movie. Plus he will be back for another, if not two more!
A good listen...and Daniel seemed slightly nervous, which in a weird way, is refreshing.

I told all of yall! The tabloids are going to spew the bad stuff 'i'd rather slit my wrists', when an earlier interview says 'im gonna keep doing it as long as i can'. But no ones telling people that because its not negative . Daniel Craig is the greatest, entertainment hollywood is a bunch of degenerate scum and everything Daniel does to lead them on is just great, he doesn't have to take their crap. Has anyone seen the interview where the woman asks him to 'do that pout" and he says 'i think you need to move on." brilliant.

What's upsetting to me is how some "legitimate" news sources in America pick up the sloppy, out-of-context quotes from UK tabloids without doing any homework whatsoever. CNN ran an article recently, which was actually about the initial positive reviews, where they casually threw the "slit my wrists" quote in there and then said, "so we KNOW he's not coming back for another." Absolute rubbish reporting! No context about WHEN he made the statement, or Craig's history of taking the press to task.
It's all about the clickbait...good on Danny Boy for just being Danny Boy. :007)

whats worse is the critics, a lot fo reviews i've skimmed of the movie, they say 'yeah this is definetely his last one because of how bad he's acting in being interviewed.' its always the interviewer's stupid questions that send him off. Plus, a lot of true bond fans just eat it up as truth and it just adds to the Idris Elba will be Bond flame. That is not even considered a rumor anymore, people take it as fact . I even heard that Idris Elba recommended Michael Pena be Bond - a latin AMERICAN actor .

It was Chiwetel Ejiofor who recommended Michael Peña, which I assumed was a joke. I've never seen Michael Peña in a role anything Bond-like (though I've only seen him in a few movies), and he's only 5'7". Bond really can't be the shortest man on screen, though a 5'7" Bond would make me feel better about my own height.
I didn't bother reading the article, i already knew regardless of Chiwietel Ejiofer's intentions the tabloids would portrayed as serious and people would believe it

DC confirms 1 more on Graham Norton tonight apparently
DC has said he hasn't got a contract with Eon now...he said he will continue as long as there is willing on both sides...apparently that's been in several interviews over the last couple of days...
Boy, the press sure is giving DC a hard time right now. It's total BS. He's just finished another, massive Bond film. It's something he's dedicated 10 years of his life to. He's probably exhausted, and now he has to jump through all the hoops with the press to promote the movie, when I'm sure all he wants to do is take a well-earned vacation. If I was him, I'd sure as hell be grumpy right about now. It's super lame the way the press has lashed out against him over the last few days just because he's a human being and doesn't feel like playing their silly games.
Naomie Harris, said they went straight from filming to doing interviews, as the
Schedule was so tight with Spectre to get it out on time. So no one got the
Usual time off, to get rested and into " Interview" mode. So I think that explains
it. not to mention it must be a pain in the butt, to be asked the same question
over and over.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Agree. The constant pressure that is on the actors right now, particularly Craig, to say the right thing, sell the movie, don't give anything away and answer the same questions over and over. Then you get the interviewers that try to be different and whacky but end up just being annoying. That on top of all the travelling, is going to knacker out anybody. I can fully understand why he can't think of the next Bond right now, it's exhausting.
I wrote and directed a indie feature film. I needed a rest for about a year from filmmaking. People don't realise just how much pressure and hard work it is. I can only imagine how hard it is for a Bond.
