Spectre In Relates To The Past Film

I am confused at this point. When Skyfall came out, they said that the film has no relation to the past films (Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace) and stand alone entirely. Now we are know Spectre ties back to Skyfall, Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale. What is going on? ?:) ?:)

The Skyfall story stood alone, unlike how QOS was a direct sequel to CR. But now SF is like how CR was made without considering there could be a direct sequel to it. They're not changing anything that happened in the previous films, they're just giving us more information to what happened and figured a way to link all the films that they hadn't thought of before.
It is called lack of creativity. Spectre is just Skyfall with different players.

On that point,wasn't Skyfall Lodge sold ? So all the stuff in it should
belong to the new owner. As compensation at least after Bond blew
the crap out of it.
This is actually the first I've heard of people thinking Skyfall is a reboot. I hear more people trying to deny that CR was a reboot than accepting the producers' word that it is.
Maybe the new owners voided the contract (payment still in escrow).

Maybe the insurance company paid off (ignoring the clause which read "no payment shall be made in event of damages caused by insane fromer Mi6 agents").
In which case the box belongs to the insurance company.
Would the government not have the right to seize anything in the house, no matter who it belongs to, since anything there could be valuable intelligence?

Oh i have definetely heard people on yutube thinking its a reboot, also adding that they think Skyfall succeeded because it erased everything that happened in Quantum of Solace. i honestly don't know what they're on about.
In some ways, this limits Craig's tenure. So far, his entire history as Bond seems to be one grand mission, interrelated in ways that are, at best, improbable, but aping the current trend in movies and television to tell "soap opera" style episodic stories. It's also another concession to imitating what other film series have done.
In other ways, it follows some of Fleming's books more closely than many of the previous films. Fleming often treated his books as quasi-sequels to one another, starting one where the other left off. In some cases, the plot points did in fact have a direct correlation to each other and led to stories that could be seen as a single one rather than a separate title.
Having come up through the 80s and 90s, when sequels were the norm, I'd prefer more standalone stories. They require more of the people making them because they can't rely on the momentum of a previous story. To me, that's more creative and interesting.
Not a literal reboot but I think possibly a creative reboot, with Q and Moneypenny being integrated again, a new M and emphasis on Bond's past.
and beyond
It's a stretch to call Skyfall any kind of reboot. All of Craig's Bond films have slowly been introducing the traditional Bond elements back into the series, and all have been examining the origins of the character, they just explored it in a different way in Skyfall. But nothing in Skyfall is incongruous with Craig's first two films.
