As the owner of a Menlo, I will warn you that these jackets run large. I take a large in the Barbour and am somewhere between a large and an extra large in the Billy Reid, and I should have gone with a medium Menlo. I had to have mine altered (never easy with leather, but mine turned out fine).

Seriously. I am a 38 chest and the small is roomy. If I could do it over again, I'd grab the XS (which I don't think was even an option two years ago)

I have a Small and I'm a chest size 38-39. It fits perfectly around chest and shoulders but overall the jacket feels a bit short. I've been told it's supposed to be, as that was the style back in the 30s, but I find it difficult to wear with my day to day outfits. Any advice? How do you guys wear it?

I normally wear about a 40 short for my suite coats and I picked up a medium. At first when I received it I thought it was too big. The sleeves are a bit long, reach about an inch past my wrist. But as I wore it more and actually zipped it up and moved around, it was a perfect fit. It reaches just to my waist, so year, it's a tad short but I guess with my build it's not overly short. I wore it with a sweater this morning and it actually felt perfect.

Jigen, are you having trouble with it reaching above your waist and having shirts hang down below it all around? Only thing I can really suggest would be tuck in your shirt. Sorry I can't be of further help. I normally will wear it with button down shirts but with the weather turning it'll be with thicker sweaters.

They're definitely very short, couldn't really get used to mine so ended up selling it on.
It is how they used to wear them though so I'd say if you're not going for a full Bond outfit go with looser fit jeans and short tee/sweatshirt under the jacket.

I find it ok to wear with black denim and a black tshirt, cause then it doesn't matter if it pokes out of the jacket. My issue arises when I wear a shirt or a sweater which are inevitably longer than the jacket itself and end up ruining the look. Also, I don't like it when it rests just above the belt. It's a tricky one, I've tried to stretch it slightly (I just need about 1.5inch) but with poor results. Do you guys tend to wear it with the Zara or alternative enjoying death shirt?
