I had no idea Brownjohn used a professional belly dancer for the titles of FRWL originally.

Interesting read Lexi. Thanks for sharing

I'm glad he didn't end up using himself. :))

Such sexist comments ! I'd better counter them by saying he'd have
    made a lovely belly dancer. ;) :D

Nice article! I'm sure it's because I'm a card-carrying Bond fan for taking exception about the article writer's comments of the 70s title sequences as being "cheesy," specifically with LALD mentioned and OHMSS being Austin Powers-ish; the producers should have known better to avoid comparisions with that franchise, right? Anyway, I remember this Maurice Binder interview in Starlog Magazine and found this funny excerpt online about the filming of TMWTGG:

"Maurice Binder ran into a problem with one of the nude models. Her pubic hair was sticking up when they needed it flat. After a few minutes of her trying and failing to get it right, Binder smeared her pubic hair with Vaseline. She gave Binder the brush and told him to fix the hair to how he needed it. The whole thing was seen by Roger Moore and Harry Saltzman, causing Moore to turn to Saltzman and quip, "If you're the producer of this film, you're not getting the perks!""
"...the purposeful slant of his striding figure looked dangerous, as if he was making quickly for something bad that was happening further down the street." -SMERSH on 007 dossier photo, Ch. 6 FRWL.....
