Bond movie you loved, but now dislike

I saw a thread earlier talking about which Bond movie has grown on you. Great thread. Now I'm very interested in the opposite. Any Bond movie you really enjoyed or even loved on first few viewings, and then after awhile started loathing it or at least dropped on your list?

I don't dislike any of the official Bond films. ( still have problems with NSNA) ;)
As a teen, I loved sci-fi so Moonraker would be the one that has dropped down
My list of movies, But I don't dislike it and infact only watched it again yesterday. :D

Though I never loved CR like I loved most previous Bond films, I thought it was really good when I first saw it. With subsequent viewings it has dropped close to the bottom now.

TMWTGG. I used to love watching it, thought it was a great little film. Now, I still like it, but I never want to sit down and watch it.

Really liked QoS when it came out. Saw it as more or less a worthy continuation of CR. Now I see it as the most generic, least Bondian action movie in the franchise.

Probably DAD, for the reason that I was 12 when it came out and I really didn't know much about what Bond actually meant at all. Now as a 25 year old I know invisible cars, CGI lasers coming from the sky, greenscreen tsunami surfing and such aren't really the most authentic Bond things in the book.. Boy was I unknowing as a kid...

DAF (my first Bond) was for a long time my favourite Bond of all... now I merely get a kick out of it.
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

I also really loved it when I was younger and ranked it fairly high, though now I don't find Connery's performance at all convincing. In his previous Bond films he tried to not sound thoroughly Scottish, but he's not trying at all in this film.

Out of any of the films I perhaps used to love and have changed my opinion, none have gone into a "dislike" category.

But, there are films I no longer enjoy as much as I did once before:

    - YOLT. This is one of the Bond films I don't watch often, I like the Japanese locations and the girls, but the plot is awful and it just falls apart from Little Nellie.
    - CR. While there are plenty of good things about it, and I LOVED it on release. I actually find this film a little tedious and even slightly dated now - dialogue is jarring :#

Love is too strong a word, but I quite enjoyed DAD when I first saw it. Now I realise I was simply used to the very low level of the Brosnan years and their fantasy (in a bad way) universe. If, after TSWLM and MR, EON had made another two MR, by the third MR, everything would seem normal. That's what happened with Brosnan. It was all so far fetched that by DAD, an invisible car and riding a tsunami seemed normal. CR brought me back to earth in the best possible way.

i was the same age when it came out and i thought it was awesome to see Bond on the big screen for the first time. I loved the spectacle,, but now i think less of it because of the unsubtle references to past films and cheesy dialogue.

+ 1 {[] It's just a question of lesser-liked films out of the gate. There might be subtle shifts in my hierarchy of favourites, but none have ever been truly disliked by me. Even films like OP and AVTAK are regarded as slow relatives, whom I still love {:)

There is not a single bond movie that I dislike. I enjoy every last one of them.

But, in terms of the thread title, the closest to that for me would be DAD - Because when I first watched it I ranked it high. But now, it is my rock bottom bond film.

I don't dislike any of the Bond films.

But on the first time I watched Die Another Day, Tomorrow Never Dies and The Man with the Golden Gun, I loved them. But after their stories went to utter hell, they weren't as enjoyable the 2nd and 3rd time around.

Moonraker. As a kid when there was a Bond movie on TV, I'd always hope and ask whether it was "the one with the rocket". But it's ok - it has been mentioned in another thread that there is a Bond for every age or something. :)

LTK and TLD - I really liked them when they were in the cinemas.

Different with DAF, which even as a 10 yo, I did not really enjoy :v

I'm not the world's absolute biggest Roger Moore fan but I had good memories of LALD. I watched it recently for the first time in probably fifteen years and, well . . .

I also have good memories of FYEO but I don't think I'll re-watch it.

    When I first saw DAD I was pretty *meh* about it. Later I loved it. Still later I grew to hate it. Recently I have had fun with it, as I do with DAF & TSWLM. It's all in the mood with which you approach the film IMO. -{

Casino Royale. I loved it when it first came out, but as time went on, and as I saw the older Bond films I realised I didn't like it that much. Now, that I don't even watch the Craig films except for Skyfall. Now I find it non-Bond like, slow-paced and boring. It's one of those films that gets worse on every re-watch, whereas the Dalton films get better.

    Diamonds Are Forever

WTF Colin!? Are you forgetting the legendary Tiffany/Plenty/Bambi and Thumper?

I don't dislike any Bond film at all but the one that went down the most for me on a most recent rewatch would be Live and Let Die. I Have never been a big Thunderball fan but I also wasn't high on that when I watched it a couple of months ago.

Diamonds are forever goes up everytime I watch it!

    Tomorrow Never Dies

Once it was one of my faves, but these days I see it as just another less-than-stellar YOLT clone, just like TSWLM & MR.

All three are enjoyable movies to be sure, but the magic of You Only Live Twice was never quite recaptured by any of them.

I agree with all of this. Though I never loved Casino Royale, I did think it was very good when I saw it in theaters. However, with each re-watch I like it less and less, and have since sold my blu-ray copy on eBay.

QoS I hated from the beginning, and I gave it one more go recently but... no, still hate it. I love Skyfall though, and knowing that Sam Mendes is helming Spectre makes me very happy.

Oh, and yes, the Dalton films are amazing. Planning to watch TLD tonight, actually.
