Yeah, I lasted about 5 seconds and then read the above review :)) It didn't give away too much, but at the same time it did. I wouldn't read this review if you want to avoid spoilers.

    What really interested me was
how some of the reviews said the torture scenes were testing the 12A rating - so this will presumably be nearly as violent as LTK?

its gonna be reall yhard to top the casino torture , how can you get more r - rated than that? Well i guess the answer is obvious, fall back on Ian Fleming

...Most of their most cutting criticisms here are the very things that have made Bond the phenomenon it is...the sort of things that were said about Bond films in the '60s, '70s & '80s. How lovely -{ I've never been comfortable with Bond as a critic's darling :007)

The part in the SPOILER above by Millennium Force (great ride, btw) wasn't included in the final shooting script. I noticed a few things in the trailer that they've added as well. The shooting script was pretty awesome as is, and it seems that most of the review reflect that they've stuck to it for the most part.

So, yeah, looks like it will be a big success. Better than the last? Classic? Remains to be seen. Can't imagine it being a big dissapointment at any level based on both reading the story and seeing what people are saying now that have seen the final product.

I always get a kick out of negative film reviews that rip everything I would like about a film and make me want to see it even more.

Bugger, I clicked it, but to be fair it didn't give away a vast amount more than I already knew.

There were a couple of mild surprises though, so be warned if you decide to take a peek!

I think I am going to have to put myself in Purdah until Tuesday.

Fortunately, I am away this weekend (and by away I mean nowhere near any social media etc.)

    These links, so tempting...

Again...all very typical Bond film reviews. Overreaches itself in one review, doesn't go far enough in another :)) The very same film. These are people who don't 'get it,' and Bond has been dispatching them, as well, for as long as he's been licensed to kill baddies :007)

    Very excited here.

    I am willing to wager that most of us will like this film better than Skyfall even though the critics will prefer the latter. Maybe Skyfall was a better film, but I'm hoping SPECTRE will be a better BOND film. -{

Only viewing will tell...but Eon, past and present, would say that they make these films for the fans who plop their money down---not constipated, mewling milquetoasts who don't understand the first thing about this series, or its character.

From the reviews I've been reading, I have the same impression. My anticipation just went up a couple numbers in the dial.

To top it off, SS single was dispatched today, as were the David Deyong earrings (Christmas prezzie for the missus!). Today seems to be a very SPECTRal day for me!

I'm getting the same vibe from these reviews. All the reviews seem to be coming from people that only have a very surface understanding for the character and the franchise, regardless of the review being good or bad.

The problem with Bond reviews is that everyone has a preconceived notion of Bond, and thus reviewers don't always look at the film for what it is.

I read one review that was 100% about the reviewer's feelings about his own masculinity after watching the movie.

    Really.

Nothing about the film at all.

She says "it's SO much better then QOS!" with a huge amount of glee on her face. QOS is actually one of the better films of the series. Not smart, Rhianna Dillon, but you are quite cute.
