What would be good (probs) would be for the next instalment to feature Bond, not with MI6, but with Swann living it up and then being pursued by the recently escaped Blofeld.
He calls in favours from Moneypenny and Q to try to stay one step ahead.
Towards the end, Swann cops it. Bond gets miffed by this, as well as being upset and is thrown a lifeline by M to go all out for Blofeld in the following film.
Then film three deals with the total destruction of Spectre and assassination of Blofeld by Bond.
That would be bouncing between a romantic, chivalrous Bond in love and a ruthless, womanising misogynistic Bond all over again. Too boring, too formulaic. I think the producers have cornered themselves and it will take some new, creative thinking to get Bond out of this hole. The easiest way would be to leave it all behind and start with a new actor.
Nah. Let's have Craig for two more Let the consternation and apoplexy continue!
One is feasible, two would really be pushing it.irrespective of the actor (you are not related to Daniel or his agent are you?) it needs some new thinking as I agree that they have boxed themselves in a bit. A skilful Retcon might be possible but less likely while retaining Daniel. It's not the actor who is tired in my view, it's the creative team. Personally I would like someone other than EON in control. As a minimum a new Director, Composer, Stunt team and writers. I think going Big Bang, big budget was always risky. Let's have less money NO MORE PLANES or HElICOPTERS, shorter run times and a proper mission.

Maybe.
NO!NO!NO! Proper mission, proper briefing, proper support , maybe start with his annual RN detachment on the new HMS Queen Elizabeth helping to rescue a SAS/SBS team who have by chance found int. on a SPECTRE operation while on a training ex. Continues on with him given the mission to follow up ending with a proper special ops raid on the enemy base in either jungle ,arctic or desert.
Full on HALO and assault helicopter mission using Apaches, Chinooks, Merlins and Pumas. Not one man and a dozen rounds.
Think the initial helicopter assault in Blackhawk Down followed by a modern version of the YOLT ending mixed with the SAS storming of the Iranian Embassy.
Whilst some elements I like e.g. being on a training mission which involves Spectre involvement (a bit like the PTS of TLD - which was ace), having a full on battle becomes too much like the final battles in Thunderball, YOLT, TSWLM, and Moonraker.
We go to a Bond film to watch Bond, not to watch a pitched battle with loads of choppers and soldiers.
I'm somehow feeling that if they do one more Craig movie they will kill off Bond for the first time in history... In some dramatic way, that would be pretty original.
Here's my dream.
Sam Mendes has been a fantastic director, but he is tired and leaves the series on a high note. But Daniel Craig stays on for Bond 25, his last Bond outing. Only two previous Bond actors have reached their fifth film. Connery and Moore with YOLT and FYEO. They were both fantastic films, in my humble opinion, with For Your Eyes Only being my personal favourite Bond film.
Now Christopher Nolan is a huge Bond fan, and just recently cancelled from his 2018 film project. Which means he's free.
So I'm thinking of a Nolan Bond Film, written by Nolan and Michael G Wilson. Now Hans Zimmer is pretty good, and I know he is Nolan's favourite composer, but I want David Arnold *Bless that Man!* back.
I'm not too fussed on the title but 'Property of a Lady' is the best Fleming title left, and I wouldn't mind that. Risico pretty good as well.
Anyhow. Film starts off with classic gunbarrel. I don't mind if its the same or similiar to the Spectre one. Opening shot is of a wedding.
James Bond's wedding! Would love to hear like a jazzy, slow, romantic rendition of the Bond theme here as guests pile in, including M, Moneypenny, Q, Tanner. We see Felix Leiter, Jeffrey Wright's version of course, as Bond's Best man. It would be nice to have a repeat of the writing on the wall soundtrack (That plays when Bond and Swann make out on the train) to play when Swann is walking up the aisle, I think its a really nice romantic piece and shows the love between the two characters. This wedding scene is cut between a complex heist scene where Blofeld is broken out of a high security prison by a set of trained men who mercilessly kill the guards and leave in a hurry.
Bond and Swann are at the altar, during the 'I do' moments, and they're about to kiss when he spots Mr Hinx in the crowd and takes Swann under cover as about a half a dozen Spectre agents attack the wedding. We then have our pre-title sequence action. Bond kicks some serious arse, and him and Felix would team up. Tanner's leg gets blown off etc.
I don't want this to be like a re-hash of the whitehall scene in Skyfall, and I think this can be managed by a focus on Bond as the hero. The turning point in this scene is when the MI6 crew and the rest of the wedding guests think that the trouble is over, Hinx has disappeared. Its then that hears a ticking noise and realises that the whole church is rigged with explosives. The whole congregation run out of the building but Bond can't find Swann. And as he runs to find her he's sees Blofeld appear out of the shadows of the church and stabs her. Turning to Bond, he fires a seemingly harmless blow gun at him, which he pulls the dart out instinctively. , before waving at Bond and escaping as Bond runs out of the church with her in his arms. The Church explodes.
Bond checks her pulse.
As Felix and Moneypenny comfort him.
The Church explodes again in a second blast which shocks the wedding guests. And with it, a set of fireworks explodes which forms in the sky 'I'm Back'. (Night wedding maybe?)
If that's a reference to Bond, or Blofeld. We don't know as Craig's emotionless face, the crying of the wedding guests and the sky, fades to a moody title sequence with a Shirley Bassey or Adele like song.
My top contender would be the British Singer Birdy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hxIGKNhW1Q
After that the Basic Structure is this.
Bond doesn't go rogue!
Instead He requests to go back into the service and M brings him on and gives him the simple mission.
Find Blofeld.
Destroy Spectre.
Would love to see a very focused MI6 team in this one. Q, Moneypenny, Tanner are all protective of Bond, and want Blofeld dead once and for all. Now remember that whole sequence I described earlier about Blofeld firing that dart?
Wouldn't it be great to have Q analyse the 'seemingly harmess substance' and tell Bond that its a deadly poison and that he only has 24 hours to live.
The rest of the movie is Bond, not telling M, and getting seriously unwell, following on in his mission, so he can thwart Blofeld's world dominating plot, seek revenge for Swann's death AND get a hold of the antidote that only Spectre has for him to be cured before he dies.
This seem's like pretty dark subject matter, so I'd love some of that nice comic touch that Spectre had.
With the Spectre acronym to be properly explained for the audience
A raid scene with Bond leading a group of soliders into battle. Before the huge raid scene, wouldn't it be great to have a clip of Bond and all the soldier's prepping their gear, loading their guns to the re-scoring of the 007 theme by John Barry!
Would also love the Bond theme to play during an action scene, including the whole large, PADADADADA-DADADDA that plays at around the 1:22 mark on the casino royale Bond theme version. Maybe it'll be great to have like a fight scene without Bond and suddenely, the music plays and Bond appears, with the theme rollicking in the background.
As far as Locations go?
Australia and New Zealand please!
Maybe a villain death scene at the Roturua Hot Pools?
I would like to see a Bond Girl who is strong physically but mentally broken. Maybe someone he saves from a Spectre Human Trafficking prison or something?
OR why not a Monica Belluci return!!
Someone who he doesn't bang during the film but maybe at the end.
the ending of the scene should be the DEATH of Blofeld.
Bond hooks up with the girl, but stops as he thinks of Swann. He pauses and steps outside of the room to the window. Mr Hinx returns and we get an epic finale for him in the hotel room. With Bond killing him once and for all.
'What are you doing?' The girl says.
He turns to the half naked lady.
'Just admiring the view.'
Bond theme roars.
Roll Credits.
Craig's final film is a bang.

Add OHMSS and you have one of Connerys best , RMs Best , and the closest to Fleming, what's wrong with that ?
I thought Nolan's Inception and Interstellar were thought provoking movies, would be interesting to see him apply that to Bond. With a decent writer, and with the current direction they are going in, we might get a drama/emotional film done properly.

No.
He can direct one, but I would not like him to "Nolanize" it.

No 8-) Just a Craig fan having fun with haters. I'll be the first to call for new thinking---particularly writers! You can forget about Eon giving Bond up, though. Craig will deal with Blofeld in #25; IMO that's a given. I'd personally prefer a trilogy. All of this can and should be written by someone other than P&W. I have no problem with any other members of the team.

Yes, I've thought of this as well. You could have Craig's Bond die.
Then, in the next film you have a 6' 2" 190 pound black haired, blue-eyed Bond with a dimple in his chin waking up in a cold sweat next to some gorgeous blonde.
"James, whatever is wrong?" she says.
"I had the worst nightmare. I dreamed I was dead."
"James, you poor thing," she says stroking his thick luxurious hair.

I have heard rumours that Norway is (secretly) a member too, but I have my doubts. But we are a major power in the field of signals inteligence. Because of our proximity to Russia and our many listening stations (one of them was seen in FYEO) and proximity to the North Atantic where the Russian submarines have to pass, we collect more signals inteligence than most NATO members. There is a Nine Eyes, but China and south Africa aren't in it. The Nine Eyes consist of the Five Eyes plus Denmark, France, the Netherlands and Norway. I guess it's a matter of level of access and sharing.
According to the news magazine L'Obs, in 2009, the United States proposed to France to join the Five Eyes, that would then have become the "Six Eyes". Nicolas Sarkozy however made the requirement to be granted the same status as other allies, including the signing of a "no-spy agreement". This requirement was approved by the director of the NSA, but not by the director of the CIA, and furthermore not by Barack Obama, resulting in a refusal from France.
Fourteen Eyes
The Fourteen Eyes consist of the Nine Eyes plus Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Sweden.[64][65] According to a document leaked by Edward Snowden, the Fourteen Eyes are officially known as SIGINT Seniors Europe, or "SSEUR".
Others
Singapore, Japan and South Korea have partnered with the Five Eyes
Craig should finish what he started and resolve the Blofeld story before recasting. If they got more focused writers, they could maybe do it in one 2 hour film.
As for recasting Bond, I used to agree with the obvious choice of Michael Fassbender. He'd be good but he's always busy with other projects. I'm starting to think they should go for young blood for a change. Dan Stevens was cool in The Guest and he could probably grow into the role.
In 3 years time, Craig will be 50. If they leave it too late, he'll be reliving what I like to call the 'old man Bond era' of Roger Moore's 80s films. He will have to start wearing sports jackets to make himself look younger!

Well, okay - OHMSS a couple of red cross choppers and a bunch of crims backing Bond up is hardly apaches, chinooks, etc. with a load of special forces geezers.
Thunderball and Moonraker - Sean and Rog's best? Not sure on that one. I'd go FRWL for Sean's best and FYEO as Rog's best outings.
All close to the source material. Now I know Thunderball the novel had an army of divers fighting a pitched underwater battle, but it was written from a screen treatment. Bond is a secret agent. If you want Bond to be the commander of an elite fighting force then watch the Fantastic Lewis Collins (RIP) in Who Dares Wins which, I will concede, shows how Bond could have done it but, once again, Bond is a secret agent - not a member of the SAS.

I agree with most of what you posted, but I don't think Fassbender won't be cast after Craig's fifth Bond movie. I think Fassbender was a very good candidate in 2006. Now he is a moviestar and by the time the part is open for others he'll be too old. Bond 25 will premiere in 2017-18. Then they need at least two-three years for casting and pre-production. If he got the role he would be in his mid 40's when the movie premieres.

I agree - whilst I think Fassbender would be a good Bond, and I would love to see him, I think the next Bond needs to be an unknown.

I would love for them to choose an unknown as Bond. After all Sean Connery was not a household name before Dr No. But since there's so much money riding on these films now, I doubt they would take the risk on an unknown actor in the current climate.

The whole Blofeld Bond connection family feud shtick felt lame and clunky to me, and to follow it with what would likely be another revenge/Bond goes rogue (again) would be lazy even for EON. If they can do it and avoid those obvious tropes it might be ok. But really, it's been lovely, but stop now please.

-Casino Royale, Ian Fleming
Add OHMSS and you have one of Connerys best , RMs Best , and the closest to Fleming, what's wrong with that ?

Two More ! " I feel it in my blood and in my bones"
"But that's not the worst thing! I also dreamed I was short, ugly, had big ears, and wore suits that didn't fit."
"James! That's simply awful."
There. Reboot complete.

The members are USA, UK, Australia, NZ and Canada.
The largest ship in our navy is a spy ship - Marjata IV :007)

I'll have that he was SBS, but he isn't now.
Would you want to put a bet on that

Awesome!
This had me in stitches )
I hope that you are wrong, but suspect that you are not.
Okay, you got me there )
