No - I work with an artist on this. I am more like a producer and director )
I just come up with the idea, fund the project and make sure it happens -{
I wish EON would get back to these kind of artworks - but since they are not doing it yet, I thought I would - after SPECTRE will be Skyfall and Casino Royale then QOS. Hope to get these done in 2016.
Nice design texas… but I gotta ask.. The layout looks outstanding.. the details etc… So don't get me wrong.. this is pure constructive criticism.. but what prompted you to throw in Vietnam era Bell Huey helicopters ?!?!? Everything else is right on point.. Then it looks like a tiny homage to Apocalypse Now in the corner.. Plus the silver and red fixed wing aircraft to the right.. neither of which has a connection to the film… What was the inspiration / muse to add these into the design ?
it was pure improvisation really .... when this project started I did not have a lot of info to work on and trying to recreate the explosive actions of those past movie posters lead me to this composition -{
Thats very cool!!!! Christ - EON really need to sort themselves out in the art dept
They don't want to do the old illustrated posters anymore. Or at least not with the Daniel Craig Bond movies. Mondo, the poster art boutique company that also makes vinyl records, was going to make a Skyfall record. I guess they got the ok for the record but EON supposedly said they didn't want illustrated art for the sleeve after seeing the design. Which I don't understand why they would even let Mondo proceed as that's all they do is illustrated artwork.
My favorite poster is by far Thunderball. The version with the panels.

If you think that's weird then you haven't seen polish movie posters like this , The Fly '86 :

It's the perfect teaser poster. We know exactly who it is.
I see the same.
While I'm an enormous fan of McGinnis, I'm somewhat embarrassed to say my two favorites are Gouzee's MR teaser and the final art for LTK.
The WIP is a rare glimpse into your creative process, I feel privileged for you to share it here.
"The very words I live by."
Are you a professional artist or is this "just a hobby" for you?

Looking forward to seeing how your poster comes out.

Also made a tie just for fun )
Indeed much better than the official one. I surely prefer the old painted posters...

They had a lot more creative freedom when it came to advertize the films there )
