Spectre in comparison with FRWL

HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,619MI6 Agent
by popular demand - we continue here to discuss Bond classics in comparison with SPECTRE

So, how does Spectre compare to FRWL?

Main difference to me is that FRWL has been done in 1963 and Spectre in 2015 - what are your thoughts?

Both have train fights, train tracks, and both tracks remain parallel.
Both feature a Pts, involving action of some sort.
Both have opening titles, with names and stuff
Both have Bond getting a gadget or two
    Both have clothes
Both have shots of white pussies
Both have Bond making at least one phone call
Both filmed on the planet Earth
    Etc ........ ;)

Train fight clearly makes it a virtual remake....

Both leading ladies are blondes and both change their clothes on the train. :)

Both start with a scene with Bond and M, then have Bond go
    Somewhere foreign.

Women can be so fickle. :D

Although on women and films .....
On showing my wife Skyfall, ( She'll normally sit through one showing of a Bond film
to pretend she's interested. I do the same for her by occasionally asking about our
    Children).
At the big emotional scene as Silva arrives to threaten M. Up pops my wife to ask
as Silva fires a shot at kincade.
" I wonder what he was looking for ?" :)) so much for all that work in trying to
    Build up the tension.

To be honest, I agree with Absolutely_Cart here. I don't mean to step out of line since, let's face it, all the long-time 'veterans' of AJB seem to absolutely love this stuff. But seriously, isn't it a bit harsh to call an off topic thread in a Bond forum 'a lot more fun than all those pros and cons' threads? - I'm rarely seen in any of the pros and cons threads either, but atleast those are actually discussions on the actual topic of James Bond which is what DOES make AJB a great place for the majority of the users here.

I understand you longtime AJB'ers all go way back since you've been around for years, so a bit of fun with eachother is in order, (I do enjoy a bit of nonsense talk myself from time to time) but isn't that why AJB has an entire Off topic forum dedicated to that?

    Just my two cents...

Haha, oh yeah thanks for that one TP! {[]

I didn't mean to go personal against anyone. (If anything I enjoy your posts a lot! Most of them crack me up :)) )
I'm just saying sometimes the group seems a bit harsh against absolutely_cart, and it's like the house always wins depending how long you've been a member here and how much history certain members have among eachother.

Or I'm just seeing things after a bad night of sleep and I'm now foolishly risking being on good terms with those members myself :#

No, feel free to speak your mind.
I hope that isn't the impression we're creating, and will discuss with Sir Miles and others what can be done if that is so. I'd be pleased to hear PMs from all parties.

I hope there is room for both serious threads on Bond and the light hearted silly
Ones, where members can joke, have a bit of a leg pull, a few sexual advances, all
    good natured stuff.
Both Myself and Dutchfinger have PMed each other ( Over the hot line) and have decided

I've actually had 2 moments when I wanted to scream out that Lea reminds me of Daniela Bianchi.

After all the brunettes from the last movies, it's refreshing to see a vulnerable blonde.
    And she's a doctor, too!

I'll see SP tonight again and the thing that I am looking forward most is her!
