MG Wilson confirmed it:

Everyone was wrong about Craig under contract for one more film. More likely he was under a one film contract with the option for more. As he is not under contract for Bond 25 it explains why he spoke so candidly about not wanting to return. He is under no legal obligation to return.
"I think we've got Daniel Craig," Wilson told The Hollywood Reporter, likening the situation to director Sam Mendes, who planned to exit the franchise after Skyfall, but returned for SPECTRE. "[Mendes] said they were never going to make the picture again, and he told the press that."
That said, Craig is not contractually obligated to return, as Wilson confirmed: "We don't have a contract."

I can't decide if I think he should or not. What I am certain of is that if he does do,it he will throw everything into it even if he is a.bit reluctant to commit. A change of actor would destabilise it in my view, particularly with a new studio coming on board.i also think his knee injury was even more serious than was made clear at the time and he is not getting any younger and three years is a long time...
Producers confident they have DC for another film.
I'm very certain Craig will just return to do Bond 25. Especially if he gets to Co-produce again, it's a 'special' one being the 25th, and there's a great potential follow up for SPECTRE, seeing as how it ended. He'll probably be paid a sh*tload of money to get back to.
So I don't think we'll have to worry about finding a new guy that can act untill atleast 2018.

By fantastic actors. -{
Yes he can, but why doesn't he in his Bond films? An angry expression all the time isn't acting. He does a better in Spectre, I thought.
I haven't seen the Bond film where he has an angry expression all the time. Which one was that?
"I am not an entrant in the Shakespeare Stakes." - Ian Fleming
"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM
I am And I can cite instances in each of the four films I've seen where there are nuances, smiles, irony, etc.---i.e., something other than an angry expression---even the revenge-driven piece 8-) I can understand not being a fan of a particular Bond actor (I have an actor I don't prefer)...but generalized ad hoc statements are fairly tired at this point. Still, to each his/her own, of course.
As a matter of fact, the consternation and apoplexy Craig apparently still causes in some circles is reason enough for me to hope he breaks Sir Roger's record :007) Any further Bonds he does at this point are a bonus, at least to me. Cheers!

I just wish there were still actors like Roger Moore around (I know, he is still alive, but I meant actively acting in actual movies)...
:v ...Well, it's obvious we don't see the same films, even if we watch the same ones.

portray a wide range of emotions. From vulnerability, and anger to light comedy.
The office staff that eon have assembled with M,Q,Moneypenny and Tanner are
also great actors. Basically ( in my opinion) we have an unbelievablely high quality
team of actors making Bond ............ and Michael G Wilson )
I think the nuances and irony are there particularly in SP, example is the " it doesn't look good on a form" line which I thought excellent. I still see room for more of it amidst the mayhem, but feel that when given the chance Craig does this kind of thing very well. I for one would like to see more of it, but it is there to be seen.
Correct!
I wonder if Craig had had comedy acting lessons recently though, as it appears that SP actually does include comedy and they were trying to mould Craig into another Roger Moore. Disclaimer: I am saying that based on opinions expressed by many forum members. SPECTRE is still waiting for a premiere in Australia, so have not seen the movie myself!
I think they are moulding Craig into another Connery. He had a lot of comedy in his films as well, as did Lazenby and Brosnan. Moore wasn't the only Bond who made quips.
He plays Bond perfectly Imho.
You are entitled to your personal opinion, no matter how weird it is! ) )
Saying that any of the 6 actors has played 007 perfectly is a bold statement.
New 2020 ranking (for now DAF and FYEO keep their previous placements)
1. TLD 2. TND 3. GF 4. TSWLM 5. TWINE 6. OHMSS 7. LtK 8. TMWTGG 9. L&LD 10. YOLT 11. DAD 12. QoS 13. DN 14. GE 15. SF 16. OP 17. MR 18. AVTAK 19. TB 20. FRWL 21. CR 22. FYEO 23. DAF (SP to be included later)
Bond actors to be re-ranked later
I'll make a bold statement: Connery played Bond perfectly in his first three films, and Moore played Bond perfectly in TSWLM and FYEO.

It's all opinion in the end. They'll offer Craig a boat load of money. Whether he accepts it or not is anot her thing.
"Greatness From Small Beginnings."
You can a little; he's not required to give a nuanced deep performance. Also being Bond isn't just like playing another part- it's easy for Craig to slip back into the swing of it because he 'is' Bond and can get away with doing it on auto-pilot.
Very true. {[]
