Sorry, if I have missed this, I am not following so much the TF clothing thread, so it may be good to open a seperate topic for this. The informations will be updated/corrected in the first post to keep everyone updated easily.

TF sunglasses as seen in Spectre:
Rome funeral: TF Snowdon FT 0237: Color Havanna 52N/brown lens
Morocco desert: TF Henry FT 0248: Color: 52A Shiny Light Ruthenium Havanna/ Gray Lens

Austria Mountain clinic:
Vuarnet vintage RX 027 with a nosepiece from Vintage Vuarnet Glacier Glasses.

Are these infos correct?

The colour of the Tom Ford Snowdons is still not settled - I watched the movie twice, once in IMAX, and I can bet everything I have that the sunglasses are havana - not black. So I'd recommend waiting for a BluRay with these but I'm fairly sure I'm right and Tom Ford has just no idea which model they provided on set I guess.

    The nose piece on the Vuarnets was also vintage I think. -{

The Snowdons definitely aren't black, they're Havana. It's pretty clear in the film, and I know someone who has a screen used pair.

Exactly! Finally "I did get one thing right" as M said in Skyfall :))

I've seen the movie a couple of times now, and the colour of Bond's lenses are brown in the funeral scene.

I think Waltz is wearing the Shiny Black Snowdons as you can see the grey gradient lenses when he turns his head slightly and the camera is close behind him.

There was some speculation he would not wear the same sunglasses as Bond in the same scene, but as you never see him from the front I think it's a possibility.

FYI I own the Shiny Black Snowdons.

Yup the Snowdons are def brown lense and havana frame very clear in the funeral scene hence the lens rules out the shiny black snowdens.

Ive got the Henrys, Snowdens looks daft on my face and glad they are the secondary glasses of the film

Which also explains all the confusion about TF reps stating the shiny black snowdens were in the film.. They are.. just not on Bond :))

I don't believe he is wearing the Snowdons.

You're right. I take back what I wrote earlier. Was flicking through the Rankin book and there's a behind the scenes shot at the funeral with Waltz. And it doesn't look like he's wearing the Snowdons. Wrong shape. But I'm sure they still had gradient lenses.

Ok, edited the Snowdon frame color and the detail about the Vuarnet nosepiece. Thanks!

I'm almost certain. Again, during the funeral scene when he turns his head you can see the Tom Ford bar on the arm

I agree kadd, I was watching as Waltz turned his head and noticed the same trademark "T" on the arm. "what are the odds, two characters in this scene wearing the same uncommon brand of sunglasses?" I thought to myself. :))

Well to be fair, in Casino Royale all the sunglasses were Persol. Bond and Mathis wore Persol, the Miami Airport Bomber tried on Persols at the airport store, and the background people in Montenegro wore Persol.

Can you confirm if the lenses of the screen-used pair are brown or gray-green? From what I have found, I believe they used to offer the 52N model with a slightly darker havana frame and brown lenses, but now the frame is a little bit brighter and have gray-green lenses instead.

    Brown lens.

Looks like this model is already difficult to find and replaced with green lens version - no?

Here is the shiny black and Havana. These Havanas are the "green lense" and to me they are more brown than anything.

I've just order a pair of the "TF Henry FT 0248: Color: 52A" as I tried the Snowdon ones don't really suite me.

Awesome! Those do look brown on you and the frame looks the correct darkness as well. It may not be the exact model that he was wearing in the film, but those look pretty darn close. I just went ahead and ordered a pair of the 52N as well. Thanks a bunch for posting those comparison photos!

Was thumbing through the Bond On Set book for SPECTRE and came across these pics -

I think the debate over the Shiny Black vs. Red Havana had been settled above, but this certainly puts the proverbial "final nail in the coffin" (pun intended) for those that were still in the Shiny Black club as these are clearly the Red Havanas.

A front-on shot of Oberhauser's TFs which clearly show they are not the Snowdons:

Hi all, I have been lurking here a while and decided to register to post a find on the correct Snowdons.

It appears the Snowdons worn in Spectre were black models with replaced brown lenses. According to this product listing:
There has been some speculation as to the color worn, however after watching the film and speaking with our Tom Ford reps, we can confirm he is wearing the glossy "Black on Dark Tortoise" colorway, however *NOT* with the default grey gradient lenses. He instead is wearing the frame with solid brown lenses (which does not come this way from Tom Ford).

    From: http://www.eyegoodies.com/Tom-Ford-TF0237-Snowdon-Custom-pr-19761.html which I found on http://hypebeast.com/2015/11/james-bond-sunglasses-spectre

I am not familiar with eyegoodies so I can't confirm this, but I think it makes sense since there was so much debate about the frame color.

I really like the looks of these! According to the Tom Ford website, Christoph Waltz is wearing:

    HUGH POLARIZED SQUARE WAYFARER SUNGLASSES

    ITEM NO. FT0337P

What are those fourth sunglasses doing in this classification in the link from TF above?
  • drum007drum007 New York, NYPosts: 684MI6 Agent
I think that 4th pair may be the pair that Waltz is wearing in the funeral scene, based on Tom Ford grouping it in their "Bond Collection." Just speculation of course but probably a good bet.

There's also a pair called the "Mason" which looks similar.

The TF Henry FT0248 are listed on the Tom Ford site as either 50mm or 53mm lens but on other sites as 51mm - I assume the TF site is correct and the others either incorrect (or fake!).

Anyone have the smaller size to confirm the sizing?

Is there a definitive answer to the Snowdons colour yet? I've been trying to work out if these are in fact the black havana frame with brown lenses offered on the TF website but can't be certain. Also, is there any confirmation that the lenses were changed specifically for the film?

I read an earlier post from ASP saying that he knows someone who has a screen used pair. ASP, any chance you can you get confirmation of colour?

Think they are def Havana but the lens colour is what causes the problem. Would indeed be cool if this could be confirmed on a screen used pair. Ive seen the lens look both brown and green in some shots

Just rewatched the film yesterday. I definitely saw the color variation of the Havana frames. I didn't really focus on the lens color.
