James Bond and Rock Band Connections?

This might seem at first blush to be a bit of a strange thread title/subject but I've been thinking about it a lot over the last while and I can't seem to excise the thought from my mind so I've decided that it was high time that I made a thread about it.

I know there are a range of music experts/musicians etc. here that will be abler to help me but of course this subject is open to anyone who wants to throw in their suggestions. All contributions are equally welcomed, as always!

So, to get down to business what I really wanted to know is are there any interesting connections that you know of concerning James Bond and rock music. This applies to both the literary Bond and the cinematic Bond by the way.

Here are a few obvious ones to get the ball rolling as it were:

Paul McCartney and Wings were the first rock band to do a Bond theme song with LALD. This song was later covered by the hard rock band Guns 'n' Roses in 1991 on their Use Your Illusion double album.

The alternative rock band Jethro Tull were made from a band called The Blades, based on the club Blades in the Moonraker novel where the famous bridge game occurred with Sir Hugo Drax. Raymond Benson wrote a reference book on the band in 2001 and he mentioned this connection in an interview.

I'm sure there are many more. Let's compile a list of sorts. -{

ive got it on a album called the best of BOND james BOND ,its aGolden eye trailer version that was never released performed and produced by Starr Parodi and Jeff Eden Fair (not goldie as I wrongly said)

The now defunct Welsh nu-metal band Lostprophets (their lead singer Ian Watkins was jailed in December 2013 for 29 years for a series of shocking and depraved sexual crimes against babies/children) covered Duran Duran's A View to A Kill in 2002.
