Q escaping in Austria. It reminded me of OHMSS and FYEO. Great moment.

At the start of tge PTS you see Bond abd estrella just standing there among the people as Marco Sciara walks into view.
The PTS as a whole was great.
Bond being berated by M back in the office.
Lucia walking through her house and then waiting to be murdered only for her would be killers to be assassinated by Bond who then casually swaggers into frame, quips about how lovely the view is and then suggesting tgey havecenough time for a drink.
The interrogation/love scene between Bond and Lucia
The SP meeting all the way through to Bond casually landing on the road and detaching himself from his parachute.
Bond's meeting with Mr.White.
Bond at the clinic.
Bond and the mouse.
The entire train sequence.
Bond and Swann waiting in the desert and as the Rolls approaches Bond cooking his gun and calmly keeping his hands behind his back as he stands next to Swann.
Arriving at Blofeld's lair.
The entire Lair sequence.
Bond breaking free from his restraints in London.
Bond and Swann in a boat chasing after Blofeld's chopper to shoot it down.
I don't see that at all...it's the biggest let down in the film for me...I just don't 'believe' it...Bond & Vesper was FAR superior for me -{
I guess it comes down to personal preference based on the girls. I am not attracted to Eva Green, but immensely attracted to Madeline. Probably makes me hold the relationship in higher regard.
I really enjoyed the Vesper relationship when I first saw the movie, but overtime because of the horrid and dated dialogue - I feel less affection for them overall.
that opening tracking shot, that was slick, almost bravura filmmaking, like Hitchcock or Kubrick
somebody had mentioned recently Connery's walk as character establishing, and Craig sort of reinvents Connery's walk then does his own thing with it
so we see him in the crowd in costume, and so fars we know this could be the villain, but the camera follows him walking, and thats how we know its Bond, if we've been paying attention these last three movies
CraigBond seems to be the surest-footed man to ever put one foot in front of another, and when he steps out on the ledge and the camera tracks him from in front (ie the camera is now moving backwards) it is hard not to be aware how precarious that roof is, to feel a bit vertiginous, and be awed how he is confident enough not to slow, stumble, think twice, or look at his feet even once
throughout all the films he moves across various landscapes with that same relentless confidence, always forward, never slowing, eg the big crane fight in Casino Royale, but this tracking shot really celebrates the walk in and of itself, and is technically very well done
once he stops moving and starts bugging the meeting the film is functional enough, much better are the following large scale shots of the crowds in the Plaza underneath the outofcontrol helicopter, but its that tracking shot in particular thats the best part of the film
btw that opening seemed to last forever, would this now be the longest opening sequence after The World Is Not Enough?

Which is fair comment - but, in filmic terms - the Bond/Swann relationship just doesn't convince...

I agree and an added bonus is to disagree with Sir Miles.
I've always found the pseudo-flirty banter * on the train (CR), the Casino (CR) and in the clinic (CR) immature and simply annoying - how it should have been done shows in the dialogues between Bond and Swann thruout Spectre.

Thank heaven you disagree with me ! Now I know I'm right
There is a *bit* of flirty banter with Swann...but not the slow-burning desire and *challenge* that Vesper presents...
Too many to mention, but the most underated scenes are the scene with Swann and Bond when they first meet and the music accompanying them.
Highlights
Pre credits up there with Skyfall and OHMSS as the best.
Car chase, better with each viewing.
Mr White scene
Mountain Clinic scene
Train fight......EPIC scene, will go down in history.
Blofelds first meeting with Bond
The end
Loved how Bond waved at a Mafioso at the Funeral scene.
Mendes admitted it wasn't a continuous shot long ago, I remember
Posting about it, pointing out about lighting changes and where the two
cuts were most likely made.
To be honest to anyone with an eye for detail, it's fairly obvious.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Yep !, I posted in my review of the film ( Which I'd highly recommend
everyone to read, as it's absolutely brilliant and by far the best review
ever) where I thought the cuts were made, but how it took nothing
away from the effect. Which was a big statement piece ! -{ magical
to look at, brilliant. -{

There was a shot a little like it in Serenity where they walk through the ship, going from the top level to the lower level and they did a camera 'swish' in between levels since both levels were actually on the same level on the soundstage, so yeah, I pretty much saw the two changes in SP.
There is one camera move in the evil dead, which I was always
Impressed with, the camera follows a character through a clearing
Then through the back window of a car, out the other side, then
Keeps going ! Very inventive for a low budget movie.
In Spectre, I was very impressed with the cinematography -{ it
Really did look beautiful and all shot on 35mm.

This would be a tie between the PTS, which I will count as one scene, and when Bond and Swann escape from Blofeld's lair. While the battle itself was underwhelming, I like how Craig plays Bond in his natural evolution -- cool, controlled, and determined.
Interestingly, this is the first of Craig's Bond where the action sequences are the ones that are more memorable than the rest. The train fight and even the conference scene, which I will consider action because of Hinx, are well done and interesting.
Very difficult to pick just one, this movie was full of great sequences, but if I have to pick I'd say the long opening tracking shot. The cgi cuts in it were a little distracting but still the flow of it was just so cool. Bond with a capital B!
SP looked so much better. The locations they had to shoot in SP were a big help, since SF only had Britain and a little Turkey.
) ) ) brilliant! Pmsl!
My favourite scenes have to be the introduction of Oberhauser - genuinely creepy - and, ahem, the last shot we see of Lucia Sciarra in lingerie ;% :x )
