I can totally get why someone would hate DAD, but for me it's a fun film, plus it benefits from having my fave Bond.

Yeah I don't agree that it wasn't heartfelt. You can see it in his face and the way he talks to her before killing her - he knows what he has to do and it's f-ing hard.
My fave individual Brosnan 007 moment is prob the scene between Bond and M at the clinic in DAD. I just love his performance in that scene.

just accept that there are people who like it!

Recently, I rewatched all Brosnan Bond films and found that TND has aged better than others. .... How time flies. His last film is now over a decade old

No broad, a bit before that. When they're talking.
But you despise the film anyway, so why should I bother to explain this?

It's not everyone's cup of tea for sure, but it's still an EON Bond film.
And the worst EON Bond films are better than many bad films.
Because every EON Bond film has something that redeems it.

TWINE has aged very well. It really doesn't seem dated at all. GE is really dated.

I've just got back from Manchester so will address this
Whether I "despise it" is immaterial. If we engaging on discussions here then try to contradict me with facts. So far no one has rocked me with an opinion. There's been no counterargument to say this is the best thing since sliced bread. Come up with reasons that I am wrong?

I don't think you're wrong broad, this isn't about being right or wrong.
I just think that dialogue between Bond and M shows a great performance from Brosnan. But that's just my opinion.
And I can understand your criticism of the scene when Bond's heart stops, and then he suddenly escapes the clinic.
I was just clarifying that the dialogue scene to which I was referring to was before that.

A re-post from another site I posted on:
Look, when we feel we've been betrayed, there's a certain amount of anger we feel as fans, I get that. I've felt it myself twice ("Here's to us" & Severine's demise), but hey, films aren't all art, they are a blend of art & business. To make a 200 million dollar movie is a huge undertaking, and peeps fronting the money WILL have their say. Producers WILL have re-writes, and directors WILL make snap decisions due to time & budgetary constraints. We need to be happy for the ones that we love, and be tolerant of the ones we don't IMHO. For this is a rather unique series of films and not every entry will please every fan.*
So long as the gadget has some basis in truth, I'm ok with it.
"Adaptive Camouflage " , is being worked on, so we could
see it ( or rather, Not see it) in the future.

I quite agree...TND has not aged at all. It makes me feel exactly the same emotions as the first day I saw it. 8-)

What went wrong the most is having cut his tenure short. DAD was hugely successful and critically acclaimed and loved by the audiences around the world in 2002. That is a fact that many (try) tend to forget these days.
Sure DAD didn't hold up well, especially after CR was released because the change of style that was needed but that would have worked wonderful with Campbell/Brosnan.

My father, being a man with impeccable taste, found it agonising to see it in the cinema back in '02.
(I'm sure he wasn't the only one that felt that way)
In fact, he was counting seconds until the movie ended. (He liked it until Jinx surfaced. "It all went downhill after that.")
Had he been watching it alone he would've left the cinema.
We saw it together quite recently and his feelings towards it haven't changed.
Even when he saw GE back then he found it to be a let down (being the Dalton fan that he was) and he still does today.
His favourite (and oddly mine) is TND, by far.
Comments
TND: Good action film.
TWINE: Excellent drama film.
DAD: Terrible Bond film.
There's just a lack of consistency vs. other Bond films.

Luckily Dan Craig was waiting in the wings

Same question could be applied to Dalton or Craig

It's the same with SF, while generally loved in 2012 there are in fact a few people that never liked it much.
Not liking GE is the same as not liking CR, it's perfectly alright, tastes are different.
