Finally got this finished!

Entirely made-to-measure, lining can be customized, and available in four colors (dark brown is the most accurate, as the dark green is more green than olive).

Kind regards,
Magnoli

I'm sure you can find a good priced Barbour... but can you find one with screen accurate details? Made-to-measure? Fully customizable?

We don't offer our pieces to replace existing items but as an alternative with more options, custom sizing, etc. In some cases our pricing is much better than the originals, but other times they are not (our Enjoying Death Shirt for example is much higher than what the original Zara sold for).

Also, the factory we purchase our waxed cotton from also claims to supply Barbour, but there is no way to verify this, so take it for what it's worth. I always assumed Barbour did everything in house, but I've recently discovered that some of their jackets are made in Lithuania and Bulgaria, so it's not all "Made in England" anymore.

    Kind regards,
    Magnoli

I'm tempted with this after Magnoli has made my Matchless Craig blouson. The Barbour always made me sweat with the plastic lining, a few other people have that problem too, plus the arms were too long as I have shortish arms.

Certainly a very nice piece Indy. It is indeed expensive, but I suppose it would be a price worth paying for those who really want this jacket, but does not fit the prototypical Barbour fits (which is notoriously restricted). However I can't help but think that the material on yours, from the pics you have provided, seems to have less "bulk" compared to the Barbour. It just looks much thinner and not as substantial as the ToKito/Commander. Is that just the effect caused by the photograph?

The sylkoil has a thin layer of plastic or something between it and the inner liner. That's probably whats missing.

If I decide to get one, I'd definitely consider this.

The actual Barbour is frustrating. I easily fit most slim fit clothing but I have tried several sizes of the Barbour jacket and each one fits wonky as all heck. If the sleeves fit, the waste or shoulders surely won't. Either you look like a skinny hipster in it or you're swimming in the next size up.

I find that it is a jacket that you have to get customized to truly look good in.

That's my take, from trying it on several time thinking each time that I'll get better results than the last.

I have an original To Ki To, and to my eye I think a thorough waxing will put this jacket over the top. Nice work!

If you were on the fence... we're currently offering 15% off on all our waxed cotton jackets: http://www.magnoliclothiers.com/skyfall-waxed-jacket-casual-p-652.html

This includes custom work, so if you'd like the Harrington Quantum Jacket in black waxed cotton, it's 15% off that too... or something completely unique, designed by yourself or a modified style.
