Quick London Weekend Report

After a couple of weeks of staring at Windsor Castle everyday outside the hotel window (work) and trekking round the town, Eton, the Long walk, seeing the Queen and Prince Philip in the Range Rover (true story) it was time to head into London for 36 hours off, before the return journey to the US. -{ -{

Such a great feeling landing in London (Mondrian Hotel) on the South Bank next to the OXO Tower for those that have done the www.thamesRibExperience.com No work, a cool hotel and some time in Town. Excellent.

Suit fitting (friends) at www.CadandTheDandy.com on Savllle Row, then an excellent dinner at www.cecconis.co.uk just on the next street (Burlington Gardens).

Then a walk round to Leicester Square to see Spectre.

Town was buzzing before and after. -{

Nice walk around Soho/Covent Garden and then walk back to the Mondrian. A beautiful mild night, beautiful views.

Next morning a short cab to the https://www.thewolseley.com/breakfast for an awesome breakfast experience of champagne (not me), porridge and bacon and eggs, and then your set for the day. I usually go to the Ritz, but truth be told the Wolseley is a more lively relaxed experience, and new favourite.

Great place, planning to do all the above in one day, some fine day[/*]
[*]Up New Bond Street to see the Bond watches, enquire about the 3rd Omega in the movie (no one knew, even though they had seen Spectre twice, but they promised to investigate. Check out one for the wife, perhaps the Deville Pie Pan in blue that's coming soon.[/*]

Matchless jacket. Didn't grab me, from a style or value point of view. The Belstaff shop seemed much better to me

    Sounds fabulous. -{ I did something similar on my last trip to London, if not hitting quite as many venues! I always try to include a favourite place to eat, as no doubt Bond would do while out shopping ;) Cicchetti at 215 Piccadilly (www.sancarlocicchetti.co.uk) is a favourite spot of mine. I try to pop in for their fabulous full breakfast at least once each trip, especially as it's literally around the corner from Jermyn Street...

    Sounds great!!!!

    I was in London last Saturday but as it was a work trip I didn't get much chance to do any Bond sightseeing. Although I did walk over Westminster Bridge looking for the spot where Blofeld's helicopter crashed so I suppose I did a bit...

    that looks awesome. It's my favorite meal of the day, I will give that a try the next time I'm in town.

    I only ever eat breakfast and dinner, and rarely one as good as that, so it's a real treat. {[]

    yeah, I meant to get there as well as the Rib Experience (too wet) as it's always fun, and the Bond in Motion exhibition (ran out of time).

    Always lots to do in London. I tend to travel on longer trips and usually manage to carve out some time for myself somewhere.

    The Bond in Motion exhibition is brilliant. A bit pricey but for a fan, totally entrancing. It's a bit small but there's lots of treats in store.

    {[] Cheers. It was over in a flash, but in retrospect it was pretty cool! Bill Nighy and Jerry Springer helped, but life is good. :))
