With Rag and Bone I'm the same size as Scotch and Soda, Fit 2 that is. Not had Levis jeans in years. Fit 2 give you a little more room in the thigh an waist (very slightly) than the Ralston fit.
Yes that really confused me as well. In the size description he says to take your regular Royale size, but if I did that I would be wearing a size large shirt with a 46in chest...that’s Tommy Bahama level sizing!

That's the size of the actual shirt and not your body size. Wich seem to make sense. It's a shirt that should be a bit loose. For me it give me 3-4 inches extra over my actual chest size.

Yes, I am aware of that. It’s how Royale size charts have worked since the beginning. My comment still stands though—most size large casual button up shirts I own measure around 43” in the chest, this is nearing 46”.
Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who's abit puzzled by the sizing chart. I took the measuring tape to some of my casual shirt, and non of them comes up to the chest measurements on the medium. He did mentioned that the shirt may shrink, and can be easily tailored.....I would like to avoid either scenario tbh.
But I am damn glad to hear he's back in business, and more motivated then ever! Can't wait for his latest rendition of the Harrington jacket!

Dan actually mentioned in the size chart that the cotton used isn’t prone to shrinking, so tailoring would be the only option if the size is too big (other than sizing down, but shoulders and/or sleeves might be affected then?).
Just bought these R&B jeans as an alternative to the incredibly expensive TF NTTD Jamaica jeans. Similar colour and fit as the SA ones and on the US site they're down to $187, plus with the code RBTOGETHER15 you can get another 15% off, so $159.
Already have a couple of pairs of R&B jeans and they're top-notch quality and a great fit, which you would expect from a great brand like R&B.
Also, if you have bigger/thicker legs, the Fit 3 in Greyson is actually on a huge sale at just over $50! It's Final Sale and not returnable, but they have sizes 29 to 32 left. I've read to size down on Fit 3 in the waist so I ordered a 30 instead of a 31. I picked up a second white henley as well which was on sale for $112. Link below.
Giving an update since I’ve received my Size 30 in the Fit 3 in the color Greyson. First off, lighting is a factor when it comes to the color. In my house they look much darker than the online photos. I’m curious to see what they look like bleached in sunlight.
As far as fit goes, wow I was worried that Fit 3 would be too roomy which is why I sized down from a 31 and that’s not the case at all. It’s a good thing I’m still dieting and working out because I have just enough waist and hip room to button everything and not have it pulling. I must have massive running back thighs because these pants are just a little bit looser than painted on. It’s not so tight I couldn’t wear it out (I’m 24 so I can get away with pretty slim cut jeans) but I do hope they stretch a little over time.
Overall the quality feels well made and they have good flexibility, the color is a little darker than I would’ve liked since I’m trying to replicate the TF Bahamas Outfit Jeans but they’ll do. Biggest surprise was how slim cut the Fit 3 is. I couldn’t imagine my tree trunk legs trying to wear any of their slimmer cut jeans. For reference I’m 6’ 185lbs and have a 31 waist.
Was just on the IA website run by canoe and it's just a blank white screen that pops up now.
Not sure if that good/bad news.
I really hope John is okay. I can understand if he doesn't want to continue his site any more as it's a lot of work, and if he has chosen to move on, I wish him all the best. But I am worried about him and considering our troubling times I hope he is happy and in good health.
I noticed his site was blank also, last time he had not renewed his domain. I hope he’s okay also, I also selfishly hoped it was somehow archived, the web archive does not have all the pages.
As an update, I have received my J. Crew blue budget Bond option for the BC shirt paired with the MA Sloop Suit. I love the shirt. I ended up paying like $8 for it with shipping. I cannot wait to wear it. I ordered a Slim, Untucked option as that works best for my lifestyle.

Is it just me or is the shirt a little too casual to be worn under a suit?
I can see one wearing it day to day, especially in the summer to work or a barbecue\party, with some Bond-ian Morocco chinos or jeans or even cargo or chino shorts but the shirt feels a little too soft\flimsy to be worn the way Bond wears it in Matera, or under a suit to a wedding or work....

It looks like the IA domain expires next December. So, domain expiration doesn't seem to be the reason for the blank page.
The site's HTML code seems to be completely wiped out at the moment. My optimistic side hopes that maybe this is the first step of a site reboot but my realistic side suspects that the hosting servers expired and we will never see IA again.
I never met Canoe but he has done an amazing job with Iconic Alternatives. It was the only site i was visiting on a daily basis. If this is indeed the end.... it will be missed deeply.

Absolutely right, I hope he is healthy and I hope he plans for something even bigger and better but IA was pretty amazing!
Has anyone heard from him at all? I really just hope everything’s ok
I was going back and forward with John regarding his budget Patterson project, but I haven't heard from him since his move to NYC
He posted some pics earlier in this thread I think of his new place, at that point which is probably 2 months ago he was working to get online and back to it, then nothing, that would been at the beginning of the whole pandemic and certainly NY has not been a good place to be.

Hard to believe but that post of his you mention was actually 5 months ago!

Incredible, my perception of time has been completely messed up by all these shenanigans.
Hope everything is okay for him, and you all. Would echo the sentiment, wonderful website that is neatly curated and beautifully assembled, look at it pretty much daily - or used to at least.

The SMALL has a 42-inch chest?
Dan is always quality, I just want to make sure I'm reading this right.

Looking at the dimensions, I would probably need a large due to the shoulders and arms. Not sure I would want to risk getting a medium.
While I wouldn't button the collar, I would like to know the neck size as well.

Denim jacket style obviously, but colour and cut are good.
