A budget Daniel Craig item and it's a close match! The Speedo shorts he wore while vacationing in ST. Barts a number of years ago. The Speedo logo has changed over the years but these will work. I personally need to hit the gym harder in the upcoming months before attempting to pull these off! lol Have a great weekend, Gang!
Lots of the alternatives are suggestions from the Bond community. And I also issued some corrections that I hope credit the right people for certain finds. If I missed anyone or screwed it up again, please let me know! Right now I get suggestions coming from here, IG, FB, email and the comments on the posts. So it can get a little confusing trying to keep track of everything.
Also, quick PSA: Thread.com has what I think is the accurate Connolly Matera jacket on sale for $483 with free shipping and free returns. But only sizes large and XL left
I'm liking it as well! Obviously not screen accurate, but I could see myself using it more than the actual Connolly. Kind of a cross between the Matera jkt and the QoS Y3.
And in a move that's sure to surprise fans of 007, ALL of the leading contenders for the coveted role have got the job! German news site Gefälschte Nachrichten is reporting that EON has decided not to hire just one actor this time around. Instead, the long time producers of the Bond films worked with Microsoft and deep fake expert Chris Ume to create a groundbreaking technology that allows each cinema goer to select the actor he or she wants to see in the next movie!
"Basically, you'll choose an actor from a menu on an app," an inside source at EON revealed. "Then you put on AR glasses in the cinema that connect via Bluetooth to your phone. And voilà! The actor you always wanted to see as Bond is the star of the movie you're watching!"
When asked why EON felt this new technology was the future of the franchise, the inside source responded, "We're pretty sure everyone is as sick of the endless controversy surrounding 'Who should be the next Bond?' as we are. You want Idris? Pick him. Cavill is your man? Go for it. Think it's time for a female Bond? Gillian is on the app. We give you dozens of actors to choose from: Tom Hardy, Emma Watson, Regé-Jean Page, Henry Golding, that guy from Outlander. So you can go to the movie with your best mates and each of you can watch the Bond you want. Everybody's happy and maybe people will finally leave us the F@¢# alone!"
And how does retiring Bond actor Daniel Craig feel about handing over the iconic character to a group of deep fakes? "I don't think Danny-boy cares," the source offered. "After all, he's been totally CGI since Quantum of Solace."
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on some of the looks I cooked up!
Sorry for not having many posts this week. I had to take one of my dogs to the vet (routine check up, all good); I drove my wife to get her first vaccination (I go for mine tomorrow and wasted way too much time trying to find an appointment slot); I had some business paperwork to catch up on; AND my son is on spring break so he had to be entertained from time to time. But I have lots planned for April!
Mango's new spring/ summer collection has an extremely good, SA comparative, to the TF Spectre polo.
Polo v-neck 'plunge' isn't quite as long as the TF, however, aesthetically the polo shirt meets most of the other requirements.
I didn't see it in John's recent posts, so thought I would add it!
Looking at the model in comparison with the size guide, it appears the model has gone for a baggy/ regular look. Mango sizes suggest sizing down for a tailored fit.
A Barbour Graham alternative from Nordstrom is their Nordstrom Coach's Jacket. This jacket does have a quilted lining, so not for warm weather. It's currently on sale for $44.77.
The next jacket isn't exactly budget at $350. From Bond brand Billy Reid comes the Wax Cotton Flight Jacket. It looks like a cross between the RgT Supply Jacket and the Connolly Matera, albeit more of a military greenish color.
Sorry the posts have been a little slower at the start of this month. I'm working on some of the bigger posts for later in April right now and they eat up more time.
@RonBerry I included your Mango suggestion in this one with credit to you for the find!
And it looks like the Malawi chair is also a great contender. And @HalfMonk HalfHitman shared pictures of what looks like an identical chair at the Goldeneye resort. Does anyone know if the Malawi was confirmed? Thanks!
I've gone room by room and tried to analyze as much as possible to come up with alternatives. So everything from the bed to the books. Really looking forward to hearing what you folks think about this one!
Noticed a couple of Thunderball budget alternative on the Marks & Spencer website.
New in - Easy Iron Linen Revere Shirt. Good budget alternative for Bond's meeting Q short sleeve shirt. Its a darker shade of blue being navy but has the camp collar and for £25 you can't knock the price.
Also Easy Iron Linen Striped shirt in blue mix. Alternative to the Palmyra butcher stripe short sleeved shirt. The stripe is ticker and no camp collar but price again £25.
I went with a variety of tones and shades this time around so it will be easier to match one with the different chino alternatives. But there are some great deals right now if you're in the market!
Morning! The last of the SPECTRE Morocco posts I'll be doing for a while. Except for the belt (I only found two decent alternatives that I'll include in a Style Finds post), this should complete most of the pieces in the look.
Lots of alternatives in this one sourced by the Bond community. I hope I managed to give credit to everyone! Let me know if I messed anything up. And I've included 2 good options for the SP braided leather belt.
And @JB1106340 I screwed up in another Style Finds post and forgot to credit you with the find of the Cotton Traders Thunderball shirt. Sorry about that! I'll include it again in the upcoming post on Bond's summer shirts and make sure you get the mention you deserve.
I won't say much about this one, expect a thank you to @Westward_Drift , @RonBerry and @Chriscoop for inspiring the idea! And I look forward to hearing if you think any of these would work.
Comments
they also have offer of free Steve McQueen jumper as well with any pair of these glasses
I got one earlier in the week but they only had the medium and upwards left: was too big for me! Didn’t cater for the (literally) little guy!
@sunny01 How do you claim this offer?
Promo code BEACH but they only have XL left when I checked.
I got the pale blue top. It’s really nice and worth getting 🍸

Highlight of the week! Thanks John
I like that Benetton jacket, and the final polo shirt is a very nice find.
I'm liking it as well! Obviously not screen accurate, but I could see myself using it more than the actual Connolly. Kind of a cross between the Matera jkt and the QoS Y3.
This shirt in the ‘Bubblegum’ colour is quite a good match for the Thunderball as well.
I also purchased the John Henric double breasted knitted blazer earlier this week and if you get 20% off!
I’ve heard the bubblegum shirt is worth a look; can’t tell you where I heard it though. 😉
One comment per Bond film there! New site is still a bit glitchy for me. Sorry folks!
Good alternative for the dunhill die another day cufflinks here at a mid budget price (for cufflinks at least)
BREAKING NEWS: EON has their new Bond!

Happy Saturday, all!
So while I was doing research for tomorrow's post, I came across these:
It's the Rika rattan chair from Danish company House Doctor. I'm pretty sure these are the chairs on Bond's deck in the the Jamaica house scenes.
Thoughts?
Edit: Just found this thread https://www.ajb007.co.uk/discussion/53068/furniture-in-nttd
And it looks like the Malawi chair is also a great contender. And @HalfMonk HalfHitman shared pictures of what looks like an identical chair at the Goldeneye resort. Does anyone know if the Malawi was confirmed? Thanks!
Happy Sunday! New post for your reading pleasure: a deep dive into Bond's No Time To Die Jamaica house

@Bodie Nice finds!
Post update: new alternatives for the SPECTRE blazer
I went with a variety of tones and shades this time around so it will be easier to match one with the different chino alternatives. But there are some great deals right now if you're in the market!

Morning! The last of the SPECTRE Morocco posts I'll be doing for a while. Except for the belt (I only found two decent alternatives that I'll include in a Style Finds post), this should complete most of the pieces in the look.
On to the good summer stuff!
Morning everyone!
New post is up: Best Style Finds for the week
Lots of alternatives in this one sourced by the Bond community. I hope I managed to give credit to everyone! Let me know if I messed anything up. And I've included 2 good options for the SP braided leather belt.

New post on post on the NTTD corduroy duster:
I won't say much about this one, expect a thank you to @Westward_Drift , @RonBerry and @Chriscoop for inspiring the idea! And I look forward to hearing if you think any of these would work.
Cheers!
John
found this as an awesome alternative to the Connolly jacket!
