Has anyone stumbled upon alternatives to the Ted Baker Larked mink trousers from CR? Mostly looking for the color, to me the exact fabric composition is not so important.

Working on it! A post will be coming up in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
As I said before, I have a post planned for sometime in the next couple of weeks, but there is a pair of Ted Baker chinos (not the originals) at Ted Baker for $159.00
Here is a nice alternative to the Tom Ford buttonless polo from Spectre. They are by Perry Ellis and they fit really well. I apologize if this has already been posted but I looked through the thread and didn't see it. I picked them up on sale at a local Dillards in eclipse blue, sky blue and black.

Chriscoop: it's funny what turns up when you least expect it.
IA-SteveB: yep! That's ones been around for a while. But I didn't know they had it Dillard's. I think PE is starting to phase out that style so the more places we can find one the better! Thanks!
New post: as most of you know, it was Pierce Brosnan's 63rd yesterday. I wanted to get this one posted yesterday, but I just ran out of time. Anyway, here are alternatives for the brown leather monk straps he wore at the end of The World is Not Enough:
Some nice footwear there, Peppermill; I really like those chukkas. Any chance you could share these in the comments on the posts? It's just easier for me to keep track on people's suggestions there.
By the way, I replied to your comment on the shaving post and corrected the text. Thanks for the help!
I'm not sure to be honest and was wondering the same thing. I can check at one of their stores if you want, I could even compare the fit and sizing to my Ryders.
In other news (other than "Daniel Craig: will he? won't he?"):
I had a bit of a milestone today as the site reached 50,000 views. I just want to thank all the great folks here at AJB007 for your help, ideas and support as this thing grew from a bunch of simple "budget Bond" lists to what the site is today: a bunch of "budget Bond" lists that take longer to write )
Thanks again and cheers! {[]
So on to the next question: since it seems like I'm going to keep at this for a while, I'd like to ask what the community here would like to see on the site. Anything I should be doing? Shouldn't be doing? Could be doing but haven't? I have a few ideas I want to roll out, but all suggestions are welcome. Even the harsh criticism: I'm originally from way up north and cold winters give us thick skin

Congratulations mate! Hopefully the site will still be pumping out great content long into the future.
Well personally, I thought your "4 Ways to Wear it" was absolutely brilliant! Why restrict it to 4? ) I loved how you didn't just match the Craig era Harrington solely with other Craig era clothing (beach look). It was refreshing to see a modern Bondian (that's a word right?) outfit style inspired by the older films.
I would definitely enjoy more of the "Ways to Wear it" posts!

Thanks! Yeah, I enjoyed doing that 4 ways post; it was a break from searching! I definitely plan on doing more of those, if for no other reason than to preserve my sanity (if it's not already too late)
Edit: without even realizing it, I think I was just the 75,000 view on this thread.

chriscollins007: I haven't seen the Gagliardi in person; I made it a top choice based on recommendations from Llafyks and later Meesta Bawnd. Honestly, I think it looks a little light in color to be an exact match for the BC, but you may want to check with Llafyks about that; I believe he owned one.
The Massimo Dutti is very nice, but the material and partial lining make it purely a summer weight blazer, so I don't think it would be as versatile as the Gagliardi. This thing is LIGHT weight, which I personally love because of where I live. But for England I'm not so sure. The color is great. in real life, but the patch pockets, fabric texture and other details give it a very casual style. And if you have bigger arms, the sleeves will fit tight even if you do size up.
Have you considered the Vedoneire? I have had great experiences with that company. It is one I would definitely consider.
If it was up to me: the Massimo Dutti (because I live in a hot climate) or the Cremieux Henry Linen Blazer for $150 and I'd get it tailored. If I wanted something I could stretch into 3 seasons? I would make the sacrifice of a slightly lighter color and go with eithter Gagliardi or Vedoneire; probably the Vedoneire simply because I have had a good experience with the company. Hope that helps!
Just a heads up: there's a nice Matchless jacket alternative at Esprit for £159.00. It's washed goat leather (not suede) and has a few extra zippers and details here and there, so it's not an exact match for the Bond jacket, but it definitely has a similar "feel":
Canoe2, I just wanted to add to the congratulations - great site. -{
Thank you, sir!
Just FYI: if anyone is looking for the Bass Plano alternative for the Kentons, Lord and Taylor have them on sale for $90 right now with almost all sizes in stock.

Color seems to match from the pictures Mantis posted some time ago.
Those look great!
I was lucky enough to find a pair of linen Banana Republics pants at a sample sale. As far as I can tell, these never went into production:
Here is a close up of the originals that Welshboy is selling is this post:

Just literally stumbled upon these

I bought one of these last year, reiss is a quality shop and this polo is very soft and thin, ideal for summer.
Nice one!
Another alternative for the Ryders http://www.thesocietyshop.com/soc13ty-enkelboots_donkerbruin-suede-11911.html one pair for 229,95, two pai for (wait for it) 199,- (crazy Dutch people)
They have a few other styles as well, if you want to use the "two for" sale. http://www.thesocietyshop.com/schoenen/geklede-schoenen/?count=12&p=2

Is the sizing quoted for the boots UK sizing?

New post is up; decided to do these sooner rather than later: alternatives for the Ted Baker Larked linen trousers from Casino Royale

I also found a new alternative for the BC Linen blazer from Massimo Dutti. Links, pics, and info are in the post:

Appreciate your comment -
If you were going for the BC blazer alternative I'm torn between http://uk.gagliardi.eu/shop/taupe-linen-jacket/ or http://www.massimodutti.com/us/en/men/blazers/beige-linen-blazer-c680503p6954564.html ?
which one if any
Chriscoop: thanks!

These have a very close color suede to the Sahara and the brick red sole, but are lower cut.

I was going to hold off on publishing this until next week, but there are some pretty good sales going on right now for some of the stuff in the post.
Have a great weekend!
