Well I'm one of the lucky ones who doesn't wear a suit to work, so even if I get 2 or 3 wears out of it this summer I'll be happy!:-)

I agree. Please let us know what you think when it arrives. Minus the lapels (and I prefer peaked anyway) it looks spot on!

I will indeed. I'll take some photos when I get it.

Can anyone tell me the right tie to wear with the O'Connor suit?

I would do a solid blue trying to match the color of the plaid pattern. I believe that's what DC wore in the movie. Although it seems fashionable to mix patterns, I would only do a solid tie with a bolder pattern.

Tried on the M&S Harrington in-store and just happened to be wearing the Haiti outfit ;)

Didn't get it though as I don't think that I can justify another Harrington in my wardrobe :D

Do you mind if I use those in the Harrington alternatives post? With credit to you, of course.

I was in Target last week and they had some really nice Harrington jackets by Merona on sale for $29.

They come in two colors, vintage khaki and xavier navy. I bought a navy one and personally think it makes for a nice budget alternative to the QoS Harrington.

For those who don't have a Target near them, you can order one on their site. Though, they are $39.99 but that's still a great deal IMO.

Yeah, very cool. Pretty much the same as the M&S, just the target jackets have banded cuffs.

Yes! I was about to post that.

These jackets do have elasticized cuffs, which the QoS jacket didn't have. Still a good looking jacket, though.

almost impossible to get ,but any how at £48.00 in the sale ,cant go wrong, saved myself a cool £200 ,(that's the price for a tyre on my X3 ) so I have the look (ish) but more to the point I have that feel .Now as a word of warning ,I take a size 10 in all my C&J ,Russle and Bromley ,Sebago ,Addidas, ect ect ,but I had to get an 11 in these?. now what laces do I put in ,im going to talk to the local cobbler ,if he can put in the fast tag eyelets ,as the suede is only punched through and dosent have an eye

always shaken: I missed those on the Aldo site (I listed a different model). Do you mind if I use a couple of your pics and add them to the post?

In other sale news: Massimo Dutti has a big 40%-50% off sale going right now, and a couple of the alternatives I listed are included:

The Menlo alternative is down to $245

    http://www.massimodutti.com/us/men/leather-jackets/vintage-nappa-leather-jacket-c1695520p6954508.html

    3309226700_2_1_1.jpg?t=1462305188966

I've tried this on and you need to size UP one size. But it is a very nice jacket (super soft leather) and even though it has those bellows pockets, the fit and styling give it a real Menlo feel.

Also, the linen blazer is down to $125

    http://www.massimodutti.com/us/men/blazers/beige-linen-blazer-c1403294p6954564.html

    2008285710_1_1_1.jpg?t=1462287214613

The jacket color is much darker in person than it looks online (here is my pic of it in-store)
    20160518_104511.jpg?resize=225%2C300

The fabric looks coarse, but it is actually very soft. NOTE: go up 2 sizes in this one; I can normally get away with a 38/39R in most traditional cut blazers and a 40R in MD blazers or other slim fits, and I needed a 42 for the shoulders and sleeves in this one. Would be a great alternative for slimmer guys.

The also have a decent alternative for the Brosnan TWiNE monk strap shoes for $140
    http://www.massimodutti.com/us/men/shoes/personal-tailoring-monk-shoes-c1403303p6954825.html

    A DC/GWtDT-esque light grey cardigan for $39.90
    http://www.massimodutti.com/us/men/sweaters-%26-cardigans/cardigan-c1403295p7047010.html

And a Connery GF V-neck golf scene sweater for $39.90 (has elbow patches but you should be able to get those off)
    http://www.massimodutti.com/us/men/sweaters-%26-cardigans/v-neck-sweater-with-elbow-patches-c1403295p6954106.html

Again, I suggest you size up in the sweaters 1 or 2 sizes depending on how you like to wear them.

    Hope it helps!

This shoe in cigar suede was mentioned way back as an alternative to the Church Ryders, but in black leather it's a reasonable stand-in for the C&J Tetbury, down to the Dainite studded sole.

The description for the boots mentions the 026 last, so I'd gather they are re-branded Loakes. Great boots for the price.

I would advise it to be shortened to get a SA look. As it's designed to be quite long, going down to mid crotch.
Also, shortening may get rid of the banned bottom.

    Also, it's 100% polyester :#

    Just had a look. That's odd, I can't find them either ?:)

Also, they had a full run of sizes in store.

Great review. You're making the belt sound very tempting.

Regarding RM Williams, they've already raised the prices of their boots at the beginning of the year. Styleforum has not been saying very kind things about that.
