I also had the Alpha PO and it broke after about 2 weeks. Basically they are Chinese knock offs which are rebranded. I bought a Casio diver for $40 at Target and have nothing but great things to say about it. A great daily beater and I get compliments all the time with the grey and black NATO strap.

To make amends for the alpha, this SM300 homage the Orthos commander 300 is quite well regarded.
Would look good on a nato too.

Chriscoop: I looked for that Orthos, and it seems to be completely sold out now. It looks like it was a one time project between watchuseek and a company called Lew and Huey sold through Janis Trading Co. There still seem to some for sale, which you can find here:

I got much the same info as you canoe2 the Orthos can be found with a little hunting, watchuseek is the forum I saw the alpha watches on, to be honest they don't get such a bad rap on there but obviously two ajb members have had a bad experience so that's enough for me. Now with the project smp in place my watch collection is as complete as I want it 10 omegas should see me out..... Until Bond 25 maybe... No no must resist.

Picked up the charcoal Banana Republic Factory Luxe turtleneck today. This thing is SUPER warm and comfy and the color looks the part. It is a roll neck but looks like a mock in person. I think this is a great deal for $30!
