Have today purchased the Moss Bros 'wine' silk knit tie hoping it will finish my Moroccan look for a christening in a couple of weeks time at which I'm a godparent. Hope the rest of the outfit works as the jacket is more brown than the trousers which are the taupe Burtons ones.

I went with the M&S version which works really well for a Christening and I had lots of compliments on the outfit - good luck - it is a killer look!!!

Speaking of Christenings, I too "christened" my TWINE pipeline tie alt at a Christening, for only $2.88 plus free shipping. I've mentioned it before but here's another friendly reminder for a $3 tie, if you don't mind it being made in China.

Also, another great Gazelle substitute is out! The colors are a bit darker and a little stronger, but for $100, and a wide variety of sizes, it's great if you can't find the Adidas Topanga in your size!

Jacket is the Gagliardi - much browner than the pics, chinos are a Dockers heather brown I think - boots the Aldo alternative and an M&S made to measure cocktail cuff shirt - it was a v bright day so tricky for pics to show decent colours etc!!

I followed that link you posted earlier, armenianmovieman, and opted for the purple version of the knit tie. It's finally arrived and I must say, for $2.88... not a bad deal at all! I've since ordered the dark grey version. The only drag is about a month shipping time. All in all, still a pretty good bargain!

Great stuff. It looks really good. And different to what anyone else will be wearing.

    Hi. Here's the link

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B014RF4OAA/

They do the same pattern in some other colors that look like they could be a good match for a couple of other ties

They look really good but which colour is the one?

    This one is the brown.

Some great suggestions everyone! I'm keeping track of all of them for post updates. I've just been a little busy lately. I have some big changes/additions coming to the site in March and April and those have been keeping me occupied. But I hope you folks like what I have in mind ;)

I've seen this tie in Marks & Spencer, which looks quite similar to the Quantum of Solace PTS tie and the Skyfall tri-colour tie worn when Bond meets Q:

Possible alternative to the Blofeld lair tie in SPECTRE?:

Also, upon doing some more digging, I learned that Amazon sells its own clothing under the label Amazon Essentials.

Among them are these $20 chinos, flat-front or pleated.

And regarding these trousers: is the consensus that the Dark Pebble Dockers are the closest, if not one of the closest to the Brunello trousers? I see Dockers in Dark Pebble at Kohl's, but they're a different shade than the Alpha Dockers?

Or maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

I was referring to this one... it looks much darker than the typical D2\D3 Dark Pebble selection at Kohls. I'm assuming it's the same color\shade just different lighting? But who knows.

Wested Leather make one. Plus they also make the Morrocco jacket.
    I've not seen either.

Anyone living in the U.K. who is after a pair of boots similar to the RM Williams suede Chelsea boots worn by DC then have a look at these available at M&S

I got really confused with all those Dockers in "Dark Pebble". The ones on Amazon US and the Dockers website (and other US sites) looked too dark to the "ideal" match for the BCs. But the exact same model of pants on the UK sites (I think it was John Lewis) looked like a much better option. Then there was the color differentiation between the different Dockers models. D1s or D2s in Dark Pebble were not the same color as the Alpha Stretch in Dark Pebble. I'm not sure if it was just the lighting used in the product shots. I think there is an actual variation between the different models and between the US and UK models. Made in different factories maybe?

armenianmovieman: nice find on those glasses!

explore007: I'd love to see another shot of that Gagliardi that shows the actual IRL color. If you have the time!

Threw together a quick affordable alternative layout based on DC's look in that Omaze campaign. Even brought my own puppy!

We all have moments like that JTM, if you wait for sales you always risk your size running out.

I've recently been updating my shawl collar cardigan collection. I've added a khaki / olive green version ala dc Vodafone ad, which I've paired with a similar tone t shirt. Also a decent rag and bone avery grey alternative from m&s.
We are all familiar with this one, £28.10 via Amazon prime, decent size range

I struggled to find a decent textured cotton grey item with patch pockets to replace my very old, very worm avery but I settled on this one, again most sizes available
