RM has made a few good alternatives to the Kenton's. I posted their now discontinued Gibson in Tobacco Suede probably about a year ago in this thread
RM is an outstanding Aussie brand, albeit a bit expensive. I'm so nearly seduced by the chocolate brown suede craftsman boots Craig was wearing about a year ago.

I'm looking for a peacoat similiar to the BR. The Royale 2.0 version would be a good option, but I can't take a chance considering the hefty shipping and custom duty figures. I think I have too wide shoulders in comparison to my chest measurement (18.5" respectively 40"). It would also be about an inch too long and being only 5'6 every inch count to the fullest. I picture 5'6 and size large as a difficult equation even if tailored. It should look just right and perhaps for that reason everything should be done from scratch.
Anyway, it seems ridiculously hard to find a good alternative. Especially copies with peak lapels. The River Island peacoat suggested by iconalternatives.com is probably the closest option yet (despite the horrible patch pockets). Sadly it's no longer being manufactured.
I don't think it's worth 135 £ (shipping costs excluded) though. Only 54% wool.

I actually have a pair of those shoes and they are very high quality and a decent alternative for the Jack Purcell’s. However I think an alternative that comes closer is the Converse Chuck Taylor in Burnt Umber. I have a pair of these as well and, to my eye at least, they come closer than anything I’ve seen. I suggest jumping on them now if you want the best alternative, as they go quickly.
