Hey all,
Very interested in the Billy Reid coat (and just got a very nice email from them after hesitating at the last minute). The reason for this was because I'm based in the UK and I'm concerned that an already expensive jacket will be made even more so!
Has anyone had any experience of finding a Billy Reid peacoat in the UK (or know of a way to avoid duty tax when shipping from the US? )

the 30% savings and VAT may cancel each other out but you should check the math on that, however they do ship internationally.
2 important notes to make.
First: The Navy color featured in Skyfall is not at the sale price since it is their best seller. They have a navy one that looks like its washed/heathered on sale though.
Second: The charcoal, green, and original navy (From Skyfall) are not 100% wool, they have between 10-20% nylon depending on the color.
The only way you can avoid the import fees (which BR add on at checkout) is to find a friend in the US willing to order, repack without invoices / tags and post as if a 2nd hand buy. You will also need to do 2 pymts. First under "pay an invoice" and second as "friends pymt"...
Might throw them off. You will still pay 20% on whatever your first pymt was tho, plus admin fees!

Not sure it helps much but I was in the Billy Reid store when I was across in NY last weekend and got 25% off the navy bond coat which brought it down to around £350. Maybe that's just in store but thought it might be worth mentioning incase anyone happens to be in NY soon.
Yes that is true but to clarify the point: I believe you are referring to a thanksgiving/black friday sale that they may have participated in. I purchased by peacoat using one of the 25% off sales a couple of years ago from the NY store as well. The sales are generally advertised online while they're going on in store but I don't think they're having one at the moment.
