Potentially Unidentified Watch in Goldeneye

When Bond is attacking the Archangel facility at the start of the film, he is wearing a watch on a what looks like a black rubber or cloth strap. Has anyone here ever identified this watch? I somehow just noticed this for the first time and I haven't seen it discussed before.

Of course, please close this thread and direct me elsewhere if this topic has already been covered.

It's an Omega Seamaster. To be precise, it's the same one Trevelyan is wearing in Cuba

Is it actually an earlier model, or is the strap the only difference. Rubber?

The leather strap was added on for the PTS by the production team. Omega never released this model with the leather strap. All of them were with the bracelets. The leather was added in for plot purposes. Plot wise, it's just to show that the MI6 agents wore the watch on leather years ago. Then present day, they wear them on the bracelet.

It's the same watch. No need to bother. The only mods Stears and his lads did to the regular Seamaster was to add a light source that shone through the bezel to help create a light effect the SFX crew could use to create the laser beam post production in the train scenes. All the other watches worn were regular quartz Seamasters with bracelet or straps. Brosnan and Bean wore the strap version PTS, and Brozza then wore the bracelet post titles and Bean continued to wear his with strap.

This generation of the Seamaster was only introduced in 1994 and both are the same type. Earlier models look quite different and the two shown are not "Pre-Bond Seamasters". So, nine years before GE they could not be on the wrists of 006 and 007, an anachronism - but then, Bond himself looked a bit different in 1986, too.
