Rank the Daniel Kleinman Title Sequences

Daniel Kleinman was responsible for the design of every TS from GE to SP with the exception of that in QoS.

I'd say this is how I'd rank his 7 Bond title sequences:

GE: Great use of references to the USSR and its collapse. Love the female figures and the ascending guns.

TWINE: I like the oil references and bright colors.

SP: Very colorful, and I like that it restores the use of nude female figures. The octopus is cool too.

CR: I'm not too crazy about this TS, but I will concede that it makes good use of the casino elements. Don't love it, but it does the job.

SF: There's just something about this one that doesn't feel right to me. I guess I find it a tad overdone for some reason. Not saying it's a bad TS, but for me it's just okay.

DAD: Yeah, this one isn't anything to write home about. I take it over the TND one because at least the scorpions look cool. But yeah, a fairly weak TS.

TND: Arguably his weakest TS. I love TND, but this TS just looks bland and uninspired imo. The cybernetic women just aren't appealing and the sequence overall lacks punch.

So, how would you guys rank Kleinman's 7 title sequences?

Loved GE and SP actually wowed me. It looked fantastic. Loved seeing all the old references to DC tenure as Bond. I dont know why but I have a soft spot for DAD's Title sequence. CR is ok.

I like Kleinemans Spectre - the great gaping octopus is very striking

Other the that the only one which grabs my attention is Casino Royale.

I was really impressed with Spectre and the title sequence. The octopus motif and the relevance all the elements have to the whole film makes it really meaningful. That might be my favourite of his.

TWINE and GE also rank pretty high for me.

Casino Royale is definitely at the bottom, far below the rest. I hate the colours and the overall look of it. It incorporates the worst-looking gunbarrel of the series. The way Maurice Binder incorporated the gunbarrel into the title sequence for DN was brilliant, but here it just looks terrible. The look of this title sequence really let me down. It doesn't have much to do with the subject matter of it, though Bond fighting in it just doesn't look right either. The title sequence comes off as cheesy to me.

Oh I like it. I think Chris Cornells music is superb. Really rousing. And the bit where the camera scans the Queen of hearts and Vespers face appears

    1. TWINE - it helps the title song is as good as it is. I just love the white and black contrast in this. It's very sharp, sexy and dirty at the same time.

    2. GE - beautiful. While it is 6 years in between, the jump between Binder's LTK title and this one is immense. The cold war elements are very well done. Song matches perfectly too. Love the explosion of the gun barrel.

    3. CR - I like how this one is different, paper looking - use of cards. Usage of characters, Vesper/Bond etc.

    4. DAD - Contains more of a narative. I like how this one looks and it helps that I like Madonna's song.

    5. TND - It's fine, but nothing special. Slightly dated, looks like a Spice Girls music video at times.

SP was cool, but I can't rate this yet.
    1. TWINE 2. FYEO 3. MR 4. TLD 5. TSWLM 6. OHMSS 7. DN 8. OP 9. AVTAK 10. TMWTGG 11. QoS 12. GE 13. CR 14. TB 15. FRWL 16. TND 17. LTK 18. GF 19. SF 20. LaLD 21. YOLT 22. NTTD 23. DAD 24. DAF. 25. SP

I'm just talking about the visual title sequences, not the title songs. The song is pretty good, but it doesn't make the visuals look any better. The part of Vesper appearing under the target is really cheesy.

The only one I like is Casino Royale. Not only does it fit the film beautifully in terms of theme, but it also is just visually interesting -- the silhouettes are both retro and modern at the same time, the cards and the gambling motifs are used meaningfully, and the pacing fits the theme music perfectly. My best friend thinks its the best titles sequence the entire films series has ever had, and while I don't necessarily agree, it's definitely the best one since the 1960s.

The rest are all utterly forgettable and missed opportunities. They are either cliched or just a mess. Skyfall, in particular, could have at least shown us elements of Bond's childhood that the movie dodged, but instead it looks like some weird Tim Burton/Edwin Gorey abomination. Spectre's just seemed to be pretty silly all around, and again, a missed opportunity to show us elements of the past that the film would avoid.

That's unfair, HTH, it's legitimate opinion on DK's work over two different Bond actors.

I doubt If I can rank them too much, as I think all his
Craig film title sequences are simply stunning. :x his
imagination and skill, shines through, he's a master of
    his craft.
of his work on the Brosnan films, I think my favourites
would be ... TWINE, GE, DAD and TND.
Although each one has at least one or two fantastic
    sequences -{

*Phew* Same here and I thought I was the only one.

CR gets off to the worst start out of any Bond film. I don't like the song, gunbarrel, or pre-title sequence either.
    My current 10 favorite:

Strangely enough, even though I'm not the biggest fan of CR, I love its PTS.

Funny how we all have different opinions...

Casino Royale is my fave - love the card theme!!

SPECTRE was cool indeed, especially the sinister Octopus - the visuals made Sam Smiths song more bearable

It's clear that more sophisticated 3-D technology is being used in the TSs, so it should be interesting to see what they do with the Bond 25 TS.
