Okay, so he's never gonna be Bond, but what movies of his do you enjoy?
Personally, I love The International. Not only is he great in it, it's just a GREAT movie IMO!
Thoughts?

    When I read the topic I suddenly thought of the International as well! Fantastic fight scene in the Guggenheim museum.
    Different type of film but Gosford Park is fantastic. Downton Abbey type murder mystery.

    I watched Shoot 'em up a couple of years ago, it has one subtle reference of Owen being a Bond candidate. Plus, Monica Bellucci is not too bad either :D

    I watched it twice- I just can't warm to it (outside of Monica, WHOAH!!!!). If it was just a little more serious...

    I'm not sure if he would have made a good Bond. If he had served as Bond 1995-2002, I imagine he would have been a more interesting and edgy Bond than Brosnan. But he would have to train more and get a better posture. Neither is his voice the best - it often sounds too flat.

    It is indeed, Owen could have been a great Bond. Like many others, who were
    considered but didn't get the part.

    I like him but my other half always said he isn't good looking enough to be Bond (maybe dashing was he word) :))

    Sir Roger got the role of 007. The cupboard was almost bare of
    Other contemporary young British actors who could have convincingly
    done it. While now, there are so many talented British actors who could

    Watched 'The International' this evening and can whole heartedly agree, fine performance from Clive Owen and a great film with a good story line {[]
    Highly recommend it if you want two hours of action and suspense.
    One of us smells like a tart's handkerchief.
