Dr Who mentions James Bond.
...and playing the same nutty professor type in both cases (considerably dialled up in 'The Underwater Menace')
As a side note, Fifth Doctor Peter Davison looks decidedly uncomfortable in an 80s publicity shoot that Who producer John Nathan Turner obliged him to do, posing Bond-style in a tuxedo and with a gun, back-to-back with a pretty companion... though in the 70s the suave Third Doctor, Jon Pertwee, had been perfectly at home in 'Day Of The Daleks' riding a motorised trike, trying to match the excitement of Bond's escape from the space research center in DAF.
