Who would you like to see as a female 00-agent?

I know some members here would like to see a female 00-agent in a Bond movie some time in the future. I certainly do. I know we can glimpse one in a scene in TB, but I think it would be fun and interesting to see one in a larger part. But who should play her? In my opinion she would need many of the same qualities as an actor playing Bond: good acting, convinsing in a fight, striking looks, commanding presens, British. It take some experience to be a 00-agent, so I don't want an actress in her early 20's to play her, someone in her thirties or even in her early 40's would work better. Other ethnic groups would not be a problem. I would prefer someone who isn't a star, simply because it brings so much baggage. Let's discuss the isssue.

    Doctor Who in recent years has never needed great acting, but she was quite awful. Luckily the stories were better during that particular series. She was in some of my fave WHO episodes, and I liked her character. But no, she can't act to a very high standard that's needed for a strong female lead in Bond.

    Maybe I'm just judging her on her attractive factor then; I'm not sure.

    I'm not sure about Hermione Norris. she doesn't impress neither as an acttress or lookswise. At least Freema isn't Judi Dench, she hold the screen.

    Butt what about Saffron - is there no lover for her?

    I wouldn't.

    8-) anyways I don't think Freema Agyeman would be a good Bond. I loved her character in Doctor Who, but she wasn't the greatest actor there, can't say much for the others.

    Defo old Man! She would be my choice. Poss too old now though. Keeley Hawes also in Spooks would be possible. Hermione in Spooks struck me as an ice cool female James Bond and I think it was set up that way. A bit orf piste don't cha know, but I think Richard Amitage could be a contender for the man himself, but may again be a little old when the time comes.

    There has been several male 00-agents in earlier Bond movies (OP, TLD, GE), so I would really like to hear why female agent's can't appear in simmular roles in future films. ?:)


    I think Saffron Burrows would be a good fit, but you have nealy talked my out of supporting Freema.

    I wouldn't mind to see Sienna Miller playing a 00-agent either.

    In an old photo, you can see one of the 00s in Thunderball was a Female. ;)
    Or HE had to rush back from a mission and didn't have time to get out of Drag. :D

    I did read the first post, it's just at my age I can't retain infomation ( or
    water for that matter ) for too long. Also just because a lady reaches
    a certain age, does not suddenly make her less attractive or desirable.
