Bond films are not only for Christmas but....

I must admit Christmas is not the same if there is not a Bond film on the TV. I always like to watch one or two classic Bonds over the festive period. What could be better than pulling a Christmas cracker and cracking your nuts while watching a great Bond film. This year I will be making time for YOLT and MR. Do any other members have plans to watch Bond films over Christmas and if so which ones?

here in Germany, one comes every couple of months and always after 10pm, which is very annoying
Somehow betraying the series if I don't Although I do agree
It's just not Christmas without a bit of Bond on the Telly. {[]
Itv 4, seem to show them quite often.
They are on quite frequently. They have been showing the DC films often. Over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day we are getting CR, QOS and SF. But as a kid it was the classic Connery and Moore films on TV over Christmas. I have a bit of a tradition to watch a SC and RM Bond film at Christmastime if I can. -{
same here, whenever one is on, I'll watch it without thinking.
but then when sky showed them non-stop for two months straight, my life was getting difficult )
It was different when I taped Bond films off the TV in the 90s/early 00s before DVDs became more readily available.
Though I agree that Bond at Christmas is a traditional thing although I strongly feel that Bond films being on the TV too often (on say ITV1, ITV2, ITV4 etc.) rather takes away the magic on Bond for the general populace anyway. It was a different thing when the Bond films were only rarely shown on TV at Easter or Christmas. THEN it was much more of an event that got people talking ("There's a Bond film on the telly tonight") around the watercooler at the or in the school playground.
It seems you can have too much of a good thing.
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
visiting relatives ?

It's usually OHMSS, but others too.
Much rather watch it on Blu-Ray or some streaming service instead of watching it on TV and have to go through those pesky commercials. Commercials are the last thing I want to see when watching a Bond film!

I ended up watching Goldeneye (DVD) and Tomorrow Never Dies (VHS) and Octopussy (VHS)
Decided to go a little retro and dust off my VHS collection.
