007.com shop. User experience??

Wondered if anybody is having strange problems with this place

In a nutshell, although I have a few SPECTRE replica rings etc the collector in me bought one from 007.com (despite the reviews)

This was weeks ago and the item was "in stock". Nothing shipped after a week so I dropped them a line and had a very prompt response (instant) saying more stock was due in and it would be shipped with a dispatch notice.

I leave things be and finally get a dispatched email. A week goes by and I check the tracking - it has not got past the "label created" status. i.e nothing has shipped.

I send them an email and get another prompt reply. "Your item is out of stock, more stock in at the end of the week etc". I now start to think this is some kind of robot on the other end so fire off a instant reply! I get a quick responses assuring me the email is not automated and stock is arriving!!

I point out you told me this last week - no reply!!

I think many days go past and I get a marketing email with keyrings etc and items from the shop but the first thing advertised is the ring - I click on it and the website opens saying "in stock"

I fire off another email pointing out the website says it is "in stock" - no reply!!!

A few days later resend the email - no reply!

Yesterday I resend the email for a third time - no reply!!

I think they are purposely ignoring me now due to the fact ive called them out on their website claiming "in stock"

I would have to check but think its been a month since this all started!!

Cant say im in a hurry for it but its pretty shoddy since affiliated with the official site!!

Sounds like customer satisfaction is high on their priority list. :#

I steered well clear of it - £146 for a ring.. could justify that as a collectors piece, but when they wanted to charge me £95 "UPS Saver' Shipping to NZ, with no VAT redemption, i thought i would get one elsewhere... If M&S can do free shipping, signed for and arrives within a week, i expect Bond to be delivering it himself for £95

I got their ring a couple of weeks ago (maybe a month) and in my case everything was fine.
The only thing that p....d me off was that the ring ended up with the custom and that was a bit expensive then in the end.

    Customs??

    Aren't you located in Germany?
And isn't the ring shipping from the UK (which is part of the EU)?

yes, I'm 30mins outside of Munich.
I forgot to tell: the ring is being shipped from the US! I was stunned, too.

I'll check and see if I find the bill again.
but we were shocked, too at the customs when we had to pay 1/4 of the value as charges for US import...

    That's odd.
That would mean that even UK customers would be object of import tax and duties.

From 007.com store " duties and taxes"

    http://www.shop.007.com/duties-and-taxes

    >>All the EU countries are shipped to on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis, which means that all relevant import taxes and duties will be included in the final purchase price.<<

I certainly wouldn't let that fly....

I ordered a ton of things from them...umbrellas, electronics, stationary, ring etc...serious delays on everything...and this is with the products being distributed out of the states...ring was shipped in a separate box than the other items...I do have to say I am very happy with everything I received but ZERO communication from them when I inquired on the delay wasn't exactly reassuring...

Thank you Higgins for the info. I had the same experience as Henchman.
I was charged customs to here in Munich. I've now written them and got a reply immediately. But this one was obviously auto-generated.
However @welshboy I got mine and it took about 2 weeks from ordering until it arrived.

I thought I would weigh in with my experience...

I placed my order on the evening of 22nd December for the ring, a key ring, and the Spectre USB. The ring and the keyring were for me, and the USB was a present for someone. I paid for next day delivery, and sure enough, today the package arrived... But the USB was not in there?! I have been charged for it, it is even on the delivery note, but it wasn't in the package with the ring and keyring. Its typical that the one item that was intended to be a Christmas present for someone other than myself would be the one to be missing.

I have sent an email to the customer services department and await their reply. I'm currently a mixture of confused and annoyed.

On a side note, I am happy with the ring and how it is presented. I did have a go at getting out of the box, but it seems as though its almost glued in there, so I didn't want to damage the packaging and gave up. It is now on display with my Skyfall and Spectre Jacks.

you can pull the ring out, nothing major will happen. It's just fixed with a tiny bit if (strong) scotch tape :)

Thanks for the heads up! I didn't want to end up damaging the surrounding plastic!
