Indeed, I'd echo what MFisher said above - that even if I could afford the Dior, or the TF, I'd nearly always rather help support someone like Dan who is trying to serve the genuine Bond fan.

That's what AJB used to be all about....

Dan, this looks great. Not sure of my sizing, I'm usually around 40L, sometimes that means Medium and sometimes Large... Whichever job think appropriate, I'd love to own one.
    And, as always, great work -{

    Hi Dan

Lovely jacket. This may be contentious as it is to do with sleeve length(!) but I think after the issue with your very first Harrington jacket, I think you've overcompensated and made the sleeves slightly too long.

I bought one of those first edition Harringtons and recall you did not want to be remembered for that problem! :p

This may be contentious as there are some here who need the extra sleeve length.

Note I have bought three of your jackets: Harrington first and second edition. And the Haiti. All which I love and use regularly.

I can't wait to get this jacket!!
This looks pretty much spot on Dan. Brilliant work! {[]

Is there a third button nearer the top on the internal flap? I can't see it on the sample photo. If not, I think the 2 buttons are set a little low.

This is looking great Dan, I'm sure we all appreciate the effort you're putting into these projects.

If I'm nitpicking the zipper on the front of the original jacket has what look like a leather zip pull (possibly dark brown) but that is a very minor issue and i'm sure this can be sorted by anyone who really wants the totally accurate look.

Do you have a potential size chart available for these Dan?, it would be easier to determine if the sleeve lengths will be too long. For me the sleeve lengths of your 2nd edition Harrington were perfect.

Ohhh... Keith. You're killing me with the sleeve length :)) The sleeves on this sample (large) are 69cm/27"

Thanks for the feedback so far gents, naturally there will be a number of changes to this for the final product, the cashmere itself being one of them (a little too soft) I'm very pleased with the overall design and we'll be finalising the changes and production once Soldenmania blows over. (Hoping to have the Soldens tomorrow)

I am most likely in for a small or medium pending sizing and price; stupid CDN dollar value.

    Hi Dan,

I guess you still have your hands full with Soldenmania at the moment (I managed to miss out, grr) but I was just wondering if you have a rough idea when the Mr White jackets will be available?

    Great work btw, all the reviews I've read heap high praise on your fantastic efforts. -{

    Hi guy's, I'm new here !

Dan, I discovered your work watching David's review on the Solden jacket and I have to say that what you do is pretty amazing !

And I've been a huge fan of the Altaussee jacket since I first saw Spectre, so I would be glad if you could count me in for a Mr White Jacket size Medium !

    Thanks

Well it's been about 3 months since that sample came in so hopefully that means that full production/release will be sooner rather than later? But yeah I'd love an update from Dan on how it's all going, it was looking beautiful in those Feb photos!

Agreed.. can't wait for this one in particular... Of all the jackets in SPECTRE this was my favorite... Although now that warm weather is here.. Im good with Dan taking all the time he needs to get it 100% right.. I am in no hurry to get it considering I won't wear it until late October at the earliest..

Good things come to those who wait...and the wait might not be too much longer. Stay tuned gentlemen, Dan's got us covered!

    Gentlemen,

Thank you for your patience. We could still be a couple of weeks away, I will be taking my time to release this one. Being a very detailed and complicated jacket, I want to make sure I'm 100% satisfied with everything before they list. I will also be taking special care with getting the sizing advice right. Okay... now I wasn't going to share these photos, but I will given the interest. Please note that the navy is darker than shown here, my manufacturer has tendancy to take very overexposed photos, I'd say because it shows up the detail much better.

I look forward to your comments.

Honestly I'd be happy if there was no fur collar, since it wasn't used on screen and I'm anti-real fur. Is the collar real or fake?

I would assume that a real fur collar would make the jacket a lot more than $249. However the description just says "beaver fur collar", so it may be real?

Anyway excellent work Dan! As it can't really be seen in the images, how close did you manage to get the colour to the original?

It is a faux beaver fur. I'll have to update that in the storefront. The jacket itself is a cashmere / wool blend (35% cashmere) and therefore already pricey to manufacture. From an ethical standpoint I'm happiest with this decision as mentioned most Bond guys won't be wearing it, but I felt it should be included. Hilariously, the faux beaver fur is called 'super beaver' which made me laugh :))

Colour wise I think we're pretty spot on, as mentioned it's darker than shown here because of the overexposed photos. I have been a little quiet on this one as there has already been so much interest via email. It has been quite expensive to produce guys and it's unlikely I will be doing it again anytime soon unlike the Solden. But as mentioned the price is $249.00 and I will be sticking to that.

The faux beaver collar is a plus, as we have the option to zip it on.
Is it correct, the front pockets are open on the side?
    The jacket is beautiful.
Thank you so much Dan. We know how much work it represents. My wallet is also very greatful :)

Yes thats right, behind the pouch pockets in the front are the hand warmer pockets at the sides, which close with a concealed button and loop. Design wise, I owe a lot of thanks to David Zaritsky for graciously sharing some of the finer design features as this is a very detailed jacket. That detail also extends to the interior lining which will be very comparable with the original.

Happy to have helped make this jacket possible to more people (even in small ways)....as Dan has said, don't let the pictures throw you off...and as you can imagine once he receives these a video review will show all the detail, specs, color, etc!

I see what you mean about the colour Dan. Browsing through some old threads I saw this image Blair (Meesta Bawnd) took of his beautiful jacket. The colour of both jackets in the direct light look very close. I'd say you hit the nail on the head!

    Thank you sir ;)

Having immersed myself in the colour of Bonds clothes for a few years now I think it's pretty safe to say they use some sort of desaturation filters for the films. Every jacket that I have done so far is a lighter colour in person than in the film. I am very pleased with the colour though I must admit there were limited choices in our cashmere selection. I think what we have come up with is quite an accurate interpretation.
