I'm sure it will be available from the day of release, although I'd
Hope they'd follow MI5, and release it early for fans. I think The
Man from Uncle was also available for download a few days before
the DVD release, but I'm not certain about that.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Imagine the old days before even vhs, after the cinema release
It could take between seven to eight years before you'd get to
see it again on TV . I think in the future, you'll be able to buy
the download when it's showing at the cinema.
I hope that doesnt happen. That'll have some serious consequences for the box office !
Oh I think there are several problems to get past, perhaps charging a family
ticket price for one showing, just like renting from Google movies etc, but
I think it's coming.
At the moment I've pre ordered the bluray, but I'll also be ordering the download
from Sky store or Google movies.
May I ask why? You will be paying twice for the same movie...
With Sky you get a dvd as well as as a download, With the dvd I can make a
digital copy to keep on my "Bond Tablet" , It might not make sense to many
but it works for me. The bluray is for the best quality.

It will be shorter and shorter.
Look at how long the movie plays in theaters. In the old days, it was out for months, now it's gone after some weeks.
Imo a big factor is to fight illegal releases (piracy).
The sooner we can buy it, the smaller the piracy damage gets for EON.

Stag, I bought a great little Sony bluray player ( with wireless internet
connection ) for only £75. and it's so small, like a paperback book.
There's not much difference in formats on smaller screens but on
Bigger screens you can clearly see the better quality of blurays, I have
a 50" JVC and the blurays look amazing on it.

I've never seen a film on bluray but keep thinking about investing in a player. A couple of questions:
1. In terms of quality what difference is there between DVD & bluray?
2. Can you play normal DVDs & are the upscaled in any way?
3. What sort of cost are you looking at for an average bluray player?
I do have a new (year old) Sony full HD TV so that should be compatible.
Hello Stag,
1. The quality difference from DVD--> Blu Ray is like from VHS-->DVD
Blu Ray leads to around 4 times more pixels that a DVD. The bigger the screen the better you see the difference
2. Blu Ray players also play DVDs which are slightly enhanced. But there is still a difference to true Full HD Blu Rays
3. Most People use a PS3 or PS4 (Sony Playstation) to play their Blu Rays, I do. So if you have one of these, you don't have to buy a separate player.

I kind of miss those days. The James Bond Film on TV was a real event & something you avidly looked forward to. I remember being sooo excited when I saw Roger Moore, Britt Ekland & Maud Adams on the cover of the 1980 TV Times: THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN on telly, at last! Now we just take it all for granted & still have the gall to moan!
Nothing wrong with a good old moan. )
I used to get so excited, coming up to Christmas. Just waiting to see the
ITV upcoming Films adverts, simply to catch a glimpse of the "New to TV"
Bond film.

If you can't wait for the release to come out I hear that there is a blu ray 1080p copy floating around online. I wouldn't visit such sights but if your so inclined.

I'm in the States. The Skyfall steelook from the UK wasn't region locked. I'm assuming this will be the same situation.
Yep. Just comes in a metal case with different artwork.
Just the BluRay for me then......no way I'm waiting until April either!!
