The express paper reports:
Daniel Craig WILL make TWO more Bond films with Christoph Waltz returning as Blofeld
CHRISTOPH WALTZ has signed up for two more films as James Bond villain Blofeld but ONLY if Daniel Craig returns as 007.Christoph Waltz is set to return for two more films as the villain to end all villains after signing up to reprise his role.SPECTRE left a lot of doors open with a rather convoluted and, for many viewers, rather messy and drawn-out ending.
After revealing that Blofeld had been behind all the villains of the last four films, he was taken away to prison.
Crucially he is not dead, and we have seen how easily baddies like Javier Bardem's Raoul Silva can escape from Her Majesty's clinks.
"Christoph could make a brilliant ongoing man for Bond to battle like in the old days,” a source told the Daily Star, after revealing that the Austrian actor hasd signed on the dotted line for two more films."But the important clincher of it is that Blofeld can only work with Daniel back in the role to keep continuity," the Hollywood insider added.
There is aleady speculation that Blofeld may be the catelyst to end Bond's new-found happiness with Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux).
007's lady friends never last long and it seems difficult to imagine how James could function as a ruthless, single-minded secret agent if he is feeling warm and fuzzy while living in domestic bliss.
It seems likely that Swann will not survive far into the next film, if at all, with Blofeld the logical agent of her death. This would handily set Bond back on an explosive quest for vengeance. With Waltz's return conditional on Craig also coming back, it looks like the British star's protests will soon be forgotten.
The franchise's producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have already said that they are committed to Craig's return.
“We think we’ve got him but we don’t have a contract, yet,” Wilson told reporters recently.
Although SPECTRE hasn't quite matched the incredible billion-dollar box office performance of Skyfall, it has currently grossed $865,000 (£567,000) which means that nobody will be keen to tamper with a winning formula.
Daniel Craig may be shaken and stirred at the thought of making another outing as 007, but the writing's already on the wall...
